      Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign.       O'Neill went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and a walk in Monday's win over Toronto.

      Advice: O'Neill hit two of Boston's four home runs Monday for his first multi-homer game since April 5. He's up to 14 long balls this season but just six of those have come since the start of May. The slugging outfielder is slashing .258/.354/.534 with 25 RBI through 206 plate appearances.       Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs against the Blue Jays on Monday.

      Advice: O’Neill’s two home runs give him 14 on the season. He took Toronto starter Yusei Kikuchi deep in the first inning and again in the third inning.     • Elly De La Cruz collects 37th steal in Reds’ loss
      Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests.     • Too much traffic in loss
      Stroman (6-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Red Sox.

      Advice: In addition to allowing 11 baserunners, Stroman was also on the mound for six of the Red Sox's franchise-best nine steals in the contest. Stroman has had two bad outings and one good one through three starts in June, though Sunday marked his first loss since May 9. The right-hander has maintained a 3.08 ERA despite a 1.30 WHIP and 61:38 K:BB over 84.2 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus Atlanta in his next outing.     • Marcus Stroman gives up four runs in loss Sunday
      Marcus Stroman struggled in a losing effort against the Red Sox on Sunday night, giving up four runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.

      Advice: The 33-year-old hurler also walked four batters in the ballgame while punching out three. The Red Sox scratched out two runs against him in the second inning on a two-out, two-run single by Ceddanne Rafaela, then tacked on single runs in the third and in the fifth. They also took advantage of Stroman and Jose Trevino on the basepaths, swiping six bases in their five innings. Stroman got seven swings and misses on 102 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of only 24 percent.       Advice: De La Cruz stuffed the stat sheet with a terrific performance Sunday, headlined by his solo homer in the eighth inning. He's up to 12 long balls with 36 steals this season. He went six straight games without a stolen base to begin the month but now has four over his last eight appearances.       Burnes (8-2) earned the victory Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Burnes matched a season high by allowing nine baserunners, but it didn't matter as he limited the damage, allowing only two runs over six innings as the Orioles provided him with eight runs of support. Burnes has still yet to allow more than three earned runs in any start this season, and he's allowed two or fewer runs 12 times in 15 games. He also notched his 10th consecutive quality start Sunday. Burnes will carry a 2.14 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his next start, currently scheduled to take place when the Orioles travel to Houston to take on the Astros next weekend.       Advice: Soler began the Giants' nine-run fourth inning with a walk and came around to score. Later that frame, he belted a three-run shot before capping off his day with an RBI double in the eighth. It was his eighth home run of the season and second over his last 18 games. While Soler is still sporting a lackluster .224/.309/.383 slash line this season, he's starting to heat up; he's gone 15-for-48 (.313) with five extra-base hits and 10 runs scored over his last 13 games.
