    Mets sent Tylor Megill (shoulder) on a rehab assignment to Double-A Binghamton.

    Advice: Megill continues to gear up at the minor league level before he can make his return to the Mets. The 28-year-old hurler struck out six batters and didn’t allow a run in his last rehab start with High-A Brooklyn. If all goes well, Megill should be back in the majors in the next few weeks.     Skenes' next start will come Sunday at Triple-A Indianapolis against Buffalo.

    Advice: Skenes got stretched out to six innings and 75 pitches in his last outing with Indianapolis on Tuesday, leading some to wonder whether his next start might come with the Pirates. However, he is set to remain with Indy for at least one more turn. Skenes has been utterly dominant against Triple-A hitters, posting a 0.39 ERA with 41 strikeouts over 23 innings.     Suarez has been moved to the Orioles' bullpen, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

    Advice: Suarez was excellent in three starts for the Orioles, collecting a 2.35 ERA and 15:3 K:BB across 15.1 innings of work. It's possible he'll be needed for more starts down the line, but with Kyle Bradish and John Means set to rejoin the rotation, Suarez will shift to a relief role for now.     Irvin is slated to start Friday's game against the Reds in Cincinnati, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The Orioles returned Kyle Bradish (forearm) and John Means (elbow) from the 15-day injured list, but with Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) landing on the IL on Wednesday, Baltimore will only have to move one starter out of the rotation to accommodate the two new arrivals. At least for this week, the Orioles are opting to keep Irvin in the rotation over Albert Suarez, who is now being listed as a reliever after he had posted a 2.35 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 15.1 innings over his three starts with Baltimore. Irvin's season-long numbers (3.49 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB in 28.1 innings) aren't quite as sparkling as Suarez's, but the southpaw has been excellent his last two times out, blanking the Royals on the road over 6.2 innings on April 21 before spinning seven shutout innings against the Athletics last Saturday.     Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Means (elbow) will make his first start of the season Saturday in Cincinnati, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

    Advice: Means was activated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, and now the Orioles have revealed the date for the left-hander's 2024 big-league debut. While Means pitched poorly for most of his rehab assignment, he was excellent in his final outing with Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, striking out eight over seven shutout innings while allowing just one hit and one walk.     Walker Buehler (elbow) is scheduled to make his season debut on Monday, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

    Advice: It’s been about 20 months since Buehler has pitched in a major league game, but that will come to an end in just a few days. The 29-year-old hurler has been putting together multiple rehab stints to get ramped up for his return to the Dodgers. In his last outing, he allowed just one run across five innings and threw 75 pitches. This will be a big season for Buehler as he and the team have entertained the possibility of a contract extension in the past, but now it will be an important factor for the team as he enters free agency after 2024.
