    • Getting Monday off
Turang is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Turang -- who is tied for second in the majors with 14 stolen bases -- will hit the bench for just the third time all season in what looks to be a maintenance day. Joey Ortiz will fill in for Turang at the keystone and will bat second. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:40 pm

    • Hits bench for series opener
Siri is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: While starting both of the Rays' last two games after serving a two-game suspension, Siri went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts and committed an error. With his average now sitting at .176 through 31 games this season and with his defense grading out poorly compared to the previous two years, Siri's standing atop the depth chart in center field could be on shaky ground. Jonny DeLuca will draw the start in center Monday after previously manning right field alongside Siri the past two days. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:22 pm

    • Rangers place Wyatt Langford on IL
Rangers placed OF Wyatt Langford on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 22-year-old is hitting .224/.295/.293 in 129 plate appearances with one home run, 13 runs, 11 RBI, and one steal. He’s striking out only 22 percent of the time with a seven percent swinging strike rate so there isn’t any major glaring concern; however, the results simply haven’t been there. The team has said Langford could miss a month and there’s no guarantee that the Rangers will activate him immediately when he is healthy enough to play. The Rangers could allow him to have an extended rehab to help him correct any issues before putting him back in the MLB lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:20 pm

    • Officially lands on IL
The Rangers placed Langford (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Just as manager Bruce Bochy said would be the case following Sunday's 3-2 win over the Royals, Langford was deactivated due to a right hamstring strain that's expected to sideline the rookie for around 3-to-4 weeks. Texas called up infielder Jonathan Ornelas from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:16 pm

    • Jose Siri is not starting with Josh Lowe back
Jose Siri is not in the starting lineup on Monday against the White Sox.

Advice: Josh Lowe is starting in center field in his first game off the IL, but Jonny DeLuca will shift to center field and bat 9th. Both DeLuca and Siri are right-handed hitters and are facing a right-handed pitcher, so this seems like a sign that DeLuca could get a real shot to take the Rays’ center field job. Siri’s playing time had always been linked to his strong defense; however, DeLuca is also a strong defensive outfielder and might have more offensive upside. The Rays certainly like him since they made him part of the return from the Dodgers in the Tyler Glasnow trade this offseason. Now might be the time to stash DeLuca in deeper formats in case he wins this job. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:59 am

    • Starting to hit for power
Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: Arozarena took Edwin Diaz yard in the ninth inning to tie the game, tallying his fifth home run of the season and second in his last three starts. He also swiped his fifth base of the year and has yet to be caught. It's been an ugly start to the season for Arozarena, and even with this burst of power, he has failed to record multiple hits in a game since March 30. The slow start has been the result of some bad luck -- he has a .165 BABIP -- but he's also struck out at an elevated 29.8 percent clip across 141 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 am
    • Immaculate day at plate
Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani moved into a tie for first place in the majors with his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, and his perfect day at the dish also brought his average up to .364, vaulting him past the Phillies' Alec Bohm (.360) for the best mark in baseball. The lefty-hitting Ohtani did all his damage against southpaws, opening the day with a two-run blast in the first inning and base hits in the third and sixth innings off Max Fried before tacking on a 464-foot solo shot off A.J. Minter in the eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:09 am

    • No rehab assignment needed
Eovaldi (groin) isn't expected to require a rehab assignment prior to being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rangers manager Bruce Bochy expressed optimism that Eovaldi, who was placed on the injured list Friday, will return when first eligible May 18. Jack Leiter is expected to be called up from Triple-A Round Rock to fill the gap in the rotation until Eovaldi and/or Max Scherzer (back/thumb) are ready to return from the IL. • Handed first loss
Lodolo (3-1) yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against Baltimore.

Advice: Lodolo got off to a rough start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He held the Orioles in check afterward until Adley Rutschman knocked an RBI double in the fifth. Lodolo had allowed just five runs over 24 innings to begin his 2024 campaign before Sunday's hiccup. Despite the poor outing, he owns a 2.79 ERA with a 37:8 K:BB through five starts. He's currently in line to take the mound in San Francisco next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:01 pm
