      Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Chisholm gave the Marlins a 2-0 lead with his seventh inning solo shot, but the Mets ultimately rallied for the victory on a J.D. Martinez walk-off blast. The long ball was Chisholm's 10th of the season, and he notched his 13th stolen base in the contest as well.     • Blows save opportunity Thursday
      Scott (5-5) took the loss and blew a save against the Mets on Thursday, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one-third of an inning.

      Advice: Scott was 8-for-9 in save chances coming into Thursday and hadn't blown a save since mid-April. In fact, he had rattled off 19 straight outings without allowing an earned run, racking up five wins and seven saves during that stretch. However, the southpaw couldn't protect a one-run, ninth-inning lead versus New York, issuing a leadoff walk to Francisco Lindor before serving up a walk-off two-run blast to J.D.     • Kirby Yates whiffs three in save against Dodgers
      Kirby Yates struck out three in a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Dodgers on Thursday.

      Advice: Yates did allow a walk, but this was a much better effort than the one he had Wednesday when he picked up a save but was fortunate to not blow the opportunity. The right-hander has been outstanding for the overwhelming majority of 2024, and this scoreless outing gives him a 1.11 ERA along with 10 saves. He isn’t giving up this closing gig.     • Chisholm homers, steals base in loss Thursday
      Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base against the Mets on Thursday.

      Advice: The home run was his 10th and the stolen base was his 13th. He hit a solo shot off Mets reliever Drew Smith in the seventh inning, which gave the Marlins a 2-0 lead. Chisholm is now hitting .254 on the season with 33 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:55 pm

      Tanner Scott allowed two runs and blew the save against the Mets on Thursday.

      Advice: Scott came into the ninth inning with a one-run lead on the road. He walked Francisco Lindor before striking out Brandon Nimmo. Then J.D. Martinez got him for a walk-off two-run home run. It was just his second blown save of the season. His last blown save was on April 14th against Atlanta. Scott’s ERA is now 1.93.     • Nestor Cortes solid for seven against Royals
      Nestor Cortes pitched seven innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

      Advice: Cortes turned in his best start in weeks, but he was still in line for the loss when he left. The Yankees offense did let him off the hook, but the Bombers still lost the game to fall to 6-9 in Cortes’s starts.       Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

      Advice: The first baseman snapped a streak of 27 games without a long ball when he took John Schreiber deep in the eighth inning. Rizzo received back-to-back days off earlier this week for a mental reset, and he entered Thursday's game in a 2-for-37 slump during June.       Cortes allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings during Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals. He didn't factor in the decision.

      Advice: Cortes ran into some trouble in the fourth inning with two runs allowed but otherwise kept Kansas City off the board, pitching deep into yet another start. This was his fifth outing this season of seven or more innings, which is tied for the second most in the American League. The two strikeouts tied for a season low, and the veteran lefty has now gone four straight starts without a win.       Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cubs.

      Advice: Arozarena is playing left field and batting second against the Cubs after being held out of the lineup for the last two games of the series due to right hamstring tightness.
