      Chisholm went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

      Advice: It's the third steal in the last four games for Chisholm, who's up to 17 stolen bases on the season -- his career high is 23, set back in 2021. The 26-year-old is finding ways to contribute, but he hasn't homered in 21 straight games, a stretch in which Chisholm is slashing .260/.345/.301 with just two extra-base hits, a double and a triple.     • Report: “Growing belief” Marlins will trade Jazz
      According to the Miami Herald’s Craig Mish, “there is a growing belief [Jazz] Chisholm Jr. will be traded.”

      Advice: Chisholm is in the midst of his healthiest season yet, playing 87 games so far while hitting .255/.326/.407 with 10 home runs and 17 steals. According to Mish, “This is the first time there has been genuine interest in Chisholm as injuries, and his personality have kept other clubs wondering what they would be getting in return.” The Marlins now seem primed to take advantage of that spark of interest by dealing the oft-injured 26-year-old for potential future pieces. While Chisholm does have some risk, his power/speed should net the Marlins a decent return and could be an impactful piece for a contender at the deadline. Rotoworld Today, 8:15 am
       
    • Picks up seventh win
      Gibson (7-3) earned the win Sunday over the Nationals, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Gibson got through the first five innings allowing just two runs, but allowed the first three hitters to reach in the sixth before getting pulled. The veteran has won three of his last four starts and has had quality starts in four of his last seven outings. The 36-year-old has helped stabilize the Cardinals rotation, he has a 3.96 ERA and 1.29 WHIP through 97.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm
       
    • Cruises to sixth win
      Eovaldi (6-3) earned the win Sunday over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five without walking a batter over seven innings.

      Advice: Eovaldi limited the damage to a two-run home run by Jose Caballero in the third inning, and the Rangers generated plenty of offense to counter that. This is the third start in a row where Eovaldi's completed seven innings, though it was a small step back from his one-hit outing versus the Padres last Tuesday. The right-hander has a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB across 87 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a road start in Houston his next time out.       Diaz (3-1) got the win during Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Pirates but also blew the save. He did not allow a run on one hit, one walk and one strikeout over 1.1 innings.

      Advice: With the Mets leading 1-0, Diaz entered the game with two outs in the eighth and allowed a walk and the go-ahead hit. After Francisco Lindor gave his team the lead, Diaz came back out and pitched a clean ninth to pick up his third win. The 30-year-old returned from his 10-game suspension on Saturday, and he picked up the save.     • Grabs one-out save
      Neris struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Neris was credited with the save after Luke Little loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth inning. Neris struck out Zach Neto on four pitches to end the threat. This is the second stretch of the season where Neris has avoided giving up a run over five consecutive appearances, with this scoreless streak at 4.1 innings. He has a 9:2 K:BB in that span, and for the season, the closer is up to 12 saves with a 4.06 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 33:22 K:BB across 31 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:18 pm
       
    • Ezequiel Tovar goes hitless yet again in loss
      Ezequiel Tovar remained hitless for the month of July after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts against the Royals on Sunday.

      Advice: Tovar was the clear choice to serve as the Rockies’ token All-Star a couple of weeks ago, but he’s been brutal of late, going 6-for-50 with one extra-base hit, one RBI, zero runs scored and a 20/0 K/BB in his last 12 games. It’s dropped his OPS from .808 to .734. Ryan McMahon might now be the best bet to be the Rockies’ All-Star, with Cal Quantrill and last year’s All-Star Game MVP Elias Díaz also in the mix.     • Nathan Eovaldi shines in win over Rays
      Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Rays on Sunday while striking out five and walking none.

      Advice: Eovaldi induced 16 whiffs on 49 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW on the day. His splitter and curve missed tons of bats on the day, and he pounded the zone with his fastball to lower his ERA to 3.10 on the season.     • Edwin Díaz blows save, earns win against Pirates
      Edwin Díaz worked 1 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Pirates. He allowed one hit, one walk, struck out one batter, blew the save, and wound up with the win.

      Advice: Back from suspension, Díaz was tasked with a four-out save pitching on back-to-back days. He walked the first batter he saw and allowed both of his inherited runners to score. Then, the Mets grabbed the lead and he came back out to pitch a scoreless ninth inning. Díaz clearly isn’t the same pitcher he was in 2022, but the Mets have absolute trust in him as their closer.
