    Luis Rengifo finished 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI versus the Phillies in Tuesday’s loss.

    Advice: New Angels manager Ron Washington made it very clear early on that he wasn’t a Rengifo fan, but at this point, it’s hard to justify not batting him first. He was in the fifth spot tonight. but he has about 60 points of OBP on leadoff man Nolan Schanuel, and he’s definitely the more effective baserunner of those two.   • Albies picks up two more hits, RBI in loss to M’s
    Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

    Advice: Albies has driven in runs in both games against Seattle thus far. The switch-hitting infielder got Atlanta on the board in the eighth with a single to score Jarred Kelenic, and Albies is now up to 18 RBI on the season.   • Jorge Polanco hits two-run homer against Atlanta
    Jorge Polanco hit a two-run homer in Seattle’s victory over Atlanta on Tuesday.

    Advice: Polanco gave Seattle a 2-0 lead with a homer off Reynaldo López, and it’s the fourth homer of the season for the second baseman. The former Minnesota Twin stalwart has gotten off to a slow start with just a .176 average and .290 slugging mark, but it seems very likely the results will kick into high gear over the next few weeks/months.   • Goes yard again
    Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a lead in the sixth inning, tagging reliever Yunior Marte for a three-run shot to plate Taylor Ward and Brandon Drury.   • Santiago Espinal fans three times in defeat
    Santiago Espinal went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts versus the Padres on Tuesday.

    Advice: Remember when Espinal made the AL All-Star team a couple of years ago? It turns out that he’s really not that good. It’s something people knew at the time, but Jose Altuve bailed because he didn’t want to be booed and, thanks to MLB and the players’ vote, the first man in was the guy who had 2 1/2 months of decent stats instead of the actual quality middle infielders. Espinal is batting .185/.240/.246 this season, and he might find himself in the minors if the Reds get Noelvi Marte and Matt McLain back in the second half. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:05 pm

    White Sox sent INF Zach Remillard outright to Triple-A Charlotte.

  • Andres Giménez hits first homer of 2024 vs. Astros
    Andrés Giménez went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.



    Advice: Giménez hit his first home run of the season on Tuesday when he took Cade Smith deep to right for a two-run bomb. Giménez closes out the first month of the season with a line of .280/.347/.374 to go with one homer, 17 RBI, and 17 runs scored.   • Semien doubles and triples in two-hit night
    Marcus Semien went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, and two runs scored in Tuesday’s win over the Nationals.

    Advice: Semien played the role of catalyst for the Rangers on Tuesday night, as he would eventually come around to score on both of his hits on the evening in a game the Rangers won handily by a score of 7-1.   • Massey homers in win over Blue Jays
    Michael Massey went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

    Advice: Massey took a second-inning pitch from Jose Berríos and deposited it 404 feet for his first home run of the season. It was all the Royals would need on the day. Massey has returned to an everyday role since coming off the injured list a little over a week ago. He’s slashing just .212/.212/.333 with five RBI, but he should get it going and remains firmly on the radar for 15-team fantasy leagues and deeper. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm
