    • Goes three innings Wednesday
Gray allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over three innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Gray was pitching on short rest after he made a relief appearance versus the Giants on Saturday, so it's not surprising this was a short outing for the veteran. He threw 36 of 65 pitches for strikes, and the lone run on his line was a Shohei Ohtani solo home run in the first inning. Gray is now at a 2.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:19 K:BB over 62.1 innings through 13 appearances (11 starts) this season. The right-hander should be getting back on a normal schedule moving forward, which puts him tentatively on track to make his next start in a favorable home matchup versus the Mets. • Jon Gray goes three innings in no-decision
Jon Gray allowed one run with three strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Gray served up a solo homer to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning. He worked around a hit in the second and two baserunners in the third before his day was done after three innings at 65 pitches. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 2.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 63/19 K/BB ratio into a start against the Mets in Texas on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:11 pm
    • Struggles again Wednesday
Olson (1-8) allowed five runs (four earned) on 10 hits across 5.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Nationals. He walked two and struck out three.

Advice: Although this wasn't as bad as his last outing, when he allowed eight runs on 12 hits over four innings, this still wasn't a great performance from Olson. The righty has now sustained losses in his last three starts, and he has a 10.43 ERA during the rough stretch. It's quite a reversal for Olson, as he had a 1.92 ERA across his first 10 appearances of the season. Fantasy managers will hope he gets back on track in his next scheduled start, which is tentatively set for Monday against a tough Atlanta lineup on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm
    • MRI comes back clean for Jurickson Profar (knee)
Jurickson Profar (knee) underwent a precautionary MRI exam on his injured knee on Wednesday that came back clean for any structural damage.

Advice: Padres’ fans and fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief, as one of the biggest surprises of the first half of the season won’t miss substantial time. He’s still considered day-to-day and should return to the Padres’ lineup at some point over the weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
    • Jazz Chisholm Jr. has two hits in loss to Mets
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Wednesday night as the Marlins fell to the Mets at Citi Field.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old smacked a run-scoring single off of David Peterson in the fifth inning that pulled the Marlins to within a run at 5-4. That would wind up being the extent of their scoring in the contest. With his two-hit effort, Chisholm is now hitting .250/.318/.425 to go along with nine homers, 32 RBI and 12 stolen bases. • Labors in no-decision
Assad did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Assad opened with two scoreless frames then allowed a run in the third on a double by Isaac Paredes and another on a solo home run by Jose Siri in the fourth. With two runners on and two outs in the fifth, Assad was pulled at 90 pitches with a 2-1 deficit. Since his last win on May 15, Assad has failed to reach six innings or record a win in five straight outings and has seen his ERA climb from 1.49 to 2.81. He tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:44 pm

    • Javier Assad lifted in fifth versus Rays
Javier Assad was lifted after allowing two runs in 4 2/3 innings Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Tyson Miller stranded two runners after taking over for Assad in the fifth. After opening the season 4-0 with a 1.49 ERA in nine starts, Assad has gone 0-2 with a 5.32 ERA in his last five turns. The truth for Assad is somewhere in between, of course, but it’s probably a little closer to the latter than the former. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:14 pm

    • Kyle Finnegan closes out Tigers on Wednesday night
Kyle Finnegan served up a solo homer to Riley Greene in the ninth inning on Wednesday night, but still managed to secure his 19th save of the season.

Advice: The 32-year-old closer came on with a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He gave one run back on a one-out solo blast to Greene, but battled back to strike out Wenceel Perez and then got Mark Canha on a ground ball to second base to end it. Finnegan has performed as one of the top closers in the league this season — posting a 1.91 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a 30/10 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
    • Matt Vierling clubs solo homer in loss to Nats
Matt Vierling clubbed a solo home run on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Tigers to victory over the Nationals.

Advice: Vierling connected on a 363-foot (94.6 mph EV) solo shot to lead off the home half of the first inning for the Tigers. He finished the night 1-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts and is now hitting .268/.309/.468 with eight long balls and 27 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
