    • Looks good in rehab start
Wacha (foot) struck out six over four scoreless innings in his first rehab start with the Royals' Arizona Complex League affiliate Monday.

Advice: Manager Matt Quatraro said prior to the outing that Wacha might need just the one rehab start before rejoining the major-league rotation this weekend against the Rangers. Given how well he pitched, it seems safe to assume that Wacha will indeed be back this weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday. He's been sidelined since early June with a non-displaced left foot fracture. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Wacha (foot) fires four scoreless in rehab start
Michael Wacha (foot) hurled four scoreless innings in a rehab start Monday at in the Arizona Complex League.

Advice: Wacha allowed two hits and struck out six. The right-hander was placed on the injured list just before the start of June with a fractured foot, and is continuing to build back his arm strength in hope of making a return to the Royals by the end of the month. One more rehab start is likely before Wacha does rejoin the rotation. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Starting rehab assignment Wednesday
Cabrera (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Marlins have signed off on Cabrera advancing the final phase of his rehab program from a right shoulder impingement after he came out of a live bullpen session Monday without issue. According to De Nicola, the Marlins are targeting Cabrera for three innings or 50 pitches Wednesday, so he'll likely require an additional rehab outing beyond that to get fully stretched out for a typical starter's workload. • Mike Clevinger (elbow) making rehab start Tuesday
Mike Clevinger (elbow) is making a rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Advice: Clevinger is working his way back from elbow inflammation that has sideliend him since the end of May. The 33-year-old could be back in the rotation after that rehab start, but the next steps will be determined by how he responds from the outing. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Three hits in big win
Vientos went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 24-year-old snapped out of an offensive swoon that had seen him bat .188 (6-for-32) over the prior 10 games. Vientos has a hammerlock on the starting job at third base for the Mets -- since returning to the majors in mid-May, he's slashing .292/.360/.494 with four homers and 14 RBI in 26 contests. His defense has even gotten more reliable, as he's committed only one error during that stretch and has a minus-2.9 UZR/150 through 206.1 innings at the hot corner, a huge improvement on the minus-13.4 UZR/150 he managed in 153 innings last year. • On base four times in rout
Alonso went 3-for-5 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The first baseman kept the line moving for the Mets in a 14-2 rout. Alonso still isn't supplying his usual power, but he's picked up the pace a bit in June, slashing .259/.348/.483 through 14 games with four doubles, three homers, nine runs and 12 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 8:13 am
    • Ends homer drought Monday
Stewart went 2-for-6 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting fifth, Stewart ripped a first-pitch fastball from Jon Gray down the right-field line in the second inning, giving the Mets an early 7-0 lead in an eventual 14-2 rout. The blast ended a 32-game homer drought for Stewart, with his last long ball coming April 30 -- in between, he slashed a woeful .145/.299/.182 with just two RBI in 67 plate appearances. The 30-year-old has seen his playing time largely evaporate with J.D. Martinez handling everyday duties at DH, and even if he heats up at the plate, Stewart's role isn't likely to change much. • Begins rehab assignment
Martin (elbow) began a rehab assignment with the White Sox' Arizona Complex League affiliate on June 14, allowing one run with a 5:1 K:BB over two innings.

Advice: Martin had Tommy John surgery last May and is currently on the 60-day injured list at Triple-A Charlotte. He will eventually move up to Charlotte once the White Sox decide he's ready and should be an option to join the major-league club at some point after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 8:09 am

    • Goes back on IL
Triple-A Reno placed Barrosa on its 7-day injured list June 11 with an unspecified injury.

Advice: Barrosa was on Reno's IL for about six weeks due to a hamstring injury before returning to action May 31, but he was shut down again just over a week later. It's unclear if Barrosa aggravated the previous hamstring injury, or if he's dealing with a new health concern. He's appeared in just 18 games for Reno this season, slashing .283/.389/.417 with one home run and three stolen bases across 72 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:00 am
