    • Blasts homer Tuesday
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Gorman has four homers, two steals, eight RBI and eight runs scored over his last nine games, batting .321 (9-for-28) in that span. It's a good run of consistency at the plate for the infielder, who has struggled to put it all together at times this season. He's at a .214/.306/.428 slash line with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored and two steals through 47 contests overall while holding down a starting role at second base. • Decent in no-decision
Cortes allowed two runs on five hits and struck out four without walking a batter over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Cortes allowed multiple runs for the first time in three starts, but it was still a passable outing for the southpaw. He allowed a total of nine runs (eight earned) over 29 innings across five starts in May while adding a 30:8 K:BB in that span. Cortes is at a 3.30 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 67:15 K:BB through 71 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:55 pm
    • Nestor Cortes holds Angels to two runs over 5 1/3
Nestor Cortes was uninvolved in the decision Tuesday after allowing two runs in 5 1/3 innings against the Angels.

Advice: The key for Cortes this season is simply to allow zero earned runs. He’s 3-0 when that happens and 0-4 the rest of the time. It’s something he’ll just have to work on prior to his start against the Giants on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:28 pm
    • Hits go-ahead homer
Seager went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Seager's hitting streak is up to 11 games, during which he's gone 14-for-40 (.350). He's also homered seven times over his last seven contests, with Tuesday's blast being enough to secure the win for the Rangers. The shortstop is up to 12 long balls, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored and a .259/.351/.461 slash line through 50 games, though he's been particularly impressive with his recent power surge after a slow start to the campaign. • Neris blows save, Cubs down Brewers in extras
Hector Neris blew his second save of the season in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Advice: Neris entered the game with a 1-0 lead and recorded two outs to open the bottom of the ninth. He then ran into trouble when he walked Christian Yelich, only to later balk and move Yelich into scoring position. Willy Adames would later single with two strikes to drive in Yelich and for the game into extras. It’s just the second blown save of the season for Neris, who has managed to close things out when called upon despite a concerning 1.56 WHIP. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:01 pm
    • Dealing with swollen finger
X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely. • Francisco Lindor dealing with left finger injury
Francisco Lindor is dealing with a left index finger contusion.

Advice: The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative on Lindor’s finger after he hurt it attempting a bunt during Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him get a couple days off for the swelling to subside. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm

    • Seager’s homer lifts Rangers over Diamondbacks
Corey Seager went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Seager sent his 12th homer of the season 407 feet into the right field stands to give the Rangers a 4-2 lead. It was a three-run homer for Seager, who upped his RBI total to 27 on the season, with 11 of those RBI coming in his last seven games. Seager has now hit safely in 11 straight games, and is slashing an impressive .287/.388/.644 on the month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:30 pm

    • Zack Littell takes tough luck loss to A’s
Zack Littell allowed three runs (none earned) on five hits in seven innings in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Littell also struck out nine and walked just one. A Brandon Lowe fielding error got the sixth inning started, and after a walk, Littell was able to get two outs before giving up a three-run shot to Miguel Andujar. That was the difference in the game. The 28-year-old had a dominant performance from his splitter on Tuesday and rode it to a 31 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW overall. He’ll now take a 3.03 ERA into a showdown this weekend with the Orioles where he’ll be a risky option in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:48 pm
