Corbin Burnes allowed one earned run and four hits over seven innings while picking up the win on Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Burnes was solid on the night, allowing just one run on four hits, with his lone blemish coming on a solo blast from George Springer. Manager Brandon Hyde paid a brief visit to the mound following the Springer home run, but Burnes got the nod to finish out the inning in what was his 10th quality start of the season. Advice: Jones allowed three hits on the night and just one extra-base hit, a double to Freddie Freeman. After allowing at least three runs in four straight starts, including five earned runs in his last start against the Tigers, some questions were mounting about whether Jones was tiring. Instead, he came out and shut down the Dodgers. It wasn’t an electric start with just a 21 percent CSW, but he did get 12 whiffs on 51 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate. It's unclear how many minor-league reps the Mets will give their star closer, but the fact Diaz is already able to begin an assignment likely signals that he will only require a minimum-length stint on the IL.
