      Advice: Abbott managed to hold Baltimore’s solid lineup to just a pair of solo homers, but it wasn’t enough as his Orioles counterpart John Means reeled off seven shutout frames to saddle him with a loss. He finished with a season-high eight strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. Fortunately for Fedde, the White Sox came back to tie the game up after he left the mound before winning in the 10th. Fedde threw only 48 of 91 pitches for strikes in his shortest outing of the season, and he has walked at least three batters in three of his last five starts. The lefty has now allowed multiple homers in three of his last four outings, but he still has a highly respectable 3.32 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 38 innings this season.
