It's likely the Rays stay away from using the 30-year-old righty out of the bullpen for the next few days, but a trip to the injured list shouldn't be necessary.       Jake Irvin allowed four earned runs on eight hits over five innings while striking out two in Tuesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Irvin allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base, but it was the two-run homer by Ketel Marte that put him in a hole early. Irvin would go on to pitch two scoreless innings before surrendering two more runs in the fifth, which would be his final inning.
