    • Picks up fourth steal
Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Reynolds has swiped two bags over his last three games, and he's hit safely in five straight contests (6-for-21). The outfielder isn't one to run a lot -- he had a career-high 12 steals in 145 games last season, so he's roughly on track to match that number in 2024 after picking up his fourth theft of the campaign Sunday. Reynolds has added a .254/.341/.407 slash line with five home runs, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, 12 doubles and a triple through 48 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm
    • Loses to former team
Taillon (3-2) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Taillon was a bit inefficient, throwing 55 of 92 pitches for strikes. This was the second start in a row where he failed to complete five innings, and it's the third time in a row he's walked multiple batters. The right-hander is now at a 2.20 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB through 32.2 innings over six starts, though his strong April has given way to a shakier May following a bout with back stiffness. Taillon is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm
    • Efficient in earning second win
Pivetta (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on one hit over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out eight.

Advice: A fourth-inning solo homer by Lars Nootbaar was the only blemish against Pivetta, who needed just 72 pitches to retire 18 of the 19 batters he faced. It was the second consecutive start for Pivetta with eight punchouts, as he's struck out 16 over 11.2 innings while allowing only three runs during that stretch. However, it should be noted that all three runs were scored by way of the long ball, and Pivetta has now allowed six homers, including five of the solo variety, over his last three appearances. Pivetta will look to carry the momentum into his next start, tentatively slated to take place next weekend when the Red Sox welcome the Brewers into Fenway for a three-game set. • Hunter Greene looks good against LAD
Hunter Greene allowed two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Greene struck out eight and walked just two on the day. He also posted a 35 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW as the four-seam fastball carved up the Dodgers on Sunday. Greene also allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a home run to Andy Pages. All of that pre-season talk of Greene adding another pitch was much ado about nothing, as Greene threw just eight splitters on the day and earned one whiff, but his slider command has improved and Greene has a 3.22 ERA on the season heading into a rematch against these Dodgers next week. • Jameson Taillon allows three runs in loss to Bucs
Jameson Taillon wasn’t at his best in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Pirates, giving up three runs on six hits across 4 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander struck out four batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. He served up a solo homer to Jack Suwinski in the second inning, then kept the Pirates at bay until Nick Gonzales smacked a two-run single in the fifth inning that scored a pair of runners that Taillon had left on base. The 32-year-old hurler got eight swings and misses on 92 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a stellar 2.20 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 22/10 K/BB ratio (32 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Cardinals in St. Louis. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:07 pm
    • Cole Irvin gets hold in first relief appearance
Cole Irvin worked two scoreless innings for a hold Sunday in his first relief appearance of the season.

Advice: The Orioles are probably going to use a six-man rotation for most of the next month, so Irvin could be back in the mix next time through. It’s pretty fortunate for the Orioles that they can view him as their sixth starter in spite of his 4-1 record and 2.90 ERA in seven starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:54 pm

    • Returning for Monday's nightcap
D'Arnaud (head) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres but is expected to start behind the plate in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: The veteran catcher reported dizziness after taking a foul ball off his mask Friday, but he's avoided a concussion and will return to action for Monday night's series finale. Chadwick Tromp is starting behind the plate Sunday and will do so again for Game 1 of the twin bill. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:39 pm

    • Nick Pivetta fans eight in defeating Cardinals
Nick Pivetta limited the Cardinals to one run and one hit over six innings in Boston’s 11-3 win Sunday.

Advice: The one hit was a 441-foot homer from Lars Nootbaar, but Pivetta retired every other batter he faced, striking out eight of them. He struggled in his first start back from the IL, but he has a 3.04 ERA and a 30/2 K/BB ratio through five outings this year. He’ll get the Brewers next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Travis d’Arnaud (head) to start on Monday night
The Braves plan to start Travis d’Arnaud behind the dish for the nightcap of Monday’s doubleheader against the Padres.

Advice: The 35-year-old backstop took a foul ball off his mask on Friday night and wound up missing the remainder of the weekend. Expect Chadwick Tromp to start once again for the first game on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:18 pm
