    • Tallies three hits in loss
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: Abrams had been in a minor rut coming into Saturday, going 1-for-13 over his previous four games. He broke the skid with his first three-hit performance since April 23 while collecting his first RBI since May 8. Abrams' production has fallen off in May -- he's batting .230 with a 1:14 BB:K this month -- but he's still carrying a solid .271/.330/.494 slash line with seven homers, 21 RBI, 28 runs and eight stolen bases on the season. • Hurls quality start Saturday
Sanchez allowed two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Washington on Saturday.

Advice: Sanchez fell behind when he gave up a first-inning run, but he allowed only one more score the rest of the way. The left-hander fanned eight batters -- his highest mark over his past five outings -- and finished with his fourth quality start of the campaign. Sanchez has been a solid fifth starter for the Phillies this season, registering a 3.31 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 47:18 K:BB over 49 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm
    • Javier Báez has four hits as Tigers top D’Backs
Javier Báez went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI on Saturday night as the Tigers triumphed over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 31-year-old shortstop got the Tigers on the board with a two-out RBI double in the seventh inning that plated Gio Urshela. He was the first of seven straight hitters to reach with two outs in the inning, and he came around to score himself on an RBI knock off the bat of Carson Kelly. He also singled and scored on a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Even with the four-hit night though, he’s still slashing a cringe-inducing .207/.236/.289 with just one homer, 19 RBI and six stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 8:04 pm

    • Kutter Crawford allows one run in no-decision
Kutter Crawford only allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Crawford pitched well, but so did his pitching counterpart Miles Mikolas, so there’s no W for the 28-year-old. Crawford bounced back nicely from a shaky start against the Ray on Monday, and in the process he lowers his ERA to a strong 2.17. There was reason to believe Crawford could help fantasy rosters, but no one could have seen this coming. Rotoworld Today, 7:08 pm
    • Abrams has three-hit game Saturday
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams scored the first run of the game on Joey Meneses’ RBI single in the first inning and gave the Nationals a 2-1 lead with an RBI single of his own in the fifth inning. He has struggled since his hot start to the season, but has his average up to .271 after the three hits on Saturday. Abrams is certainly hitting better than he did last season when he hit .245 with less power. Rotoworld Today, 6:40 pm
    • Sanchez strikes out eight in no-decision
Christopher Sanchez allowed two earned runs and struck out eight and got a no-decision in the Phillies’ 4-3 victory over the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: It was Sanchez’ third start with at least eight strikeouts in nine tries this season. He lowered his ERA to 3.31 on the season, but still only has two wins. The 27-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Rockies at Coors Field next weekend.

    • Ober allows five runs against Guardians Saturday
Bailey Ober allowed eight hits, five runs and a walk in four innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: This was Ober’s worst start since he blew up against the Royals in his first start of the season. He had allowed two earned runs or less in six of his previous seven starts. Ober’s ERA is now 4.40 on the season. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rangers at home next weekend.

    • Not in lineup Saturday
Carter (back) is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Angels.

Advice: Carter will remain on the bench for another contest Saturday, though it may be a result of the team facing left-hander Patrick Sandoval and not his back injury. Manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that the outfielder would be available off the bench versus Los Angeles and Carter did end up appearing in the game, going 0-for-1. Carter will look to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale, but in the meantime, Robbie Grossman will draw the start in left field and bat sixth Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:24 pm

    • Evan Carter sitting against lefty on Saturday
Evan Carter is not in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Angels.

Advice: Carter’s exclusion from Saturday’s lineup card appears to be purely matchup driven with southpaw Patrick Sandoval on the mound for Los Angeles, but he’s out of the lineup for a seventh straight contest since last weekend recovering from a lower-back issue. The 21-year-old former top prospect should be available to pinch-hit, if needed, on Saturday night. He should return to the lineup on Sunday afternoon to face righty José Soriano.
