      Advice: Crawford had given up at least four runs in five of his last six starts, but he was able to turn in a strong performance Sunday. He allowed solo home runs to Aaron Judge and Jose Trevino, but Crawford's nine strikeouts were a season high, and he snapped a four-start losing streak. The right-hander is at a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 88:26 K:BB through 86.1 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati.       Ohtani went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs during Sunday's 3-0 win over the Royals.

      Advice: Ohtani teed off on Brady Singer, tagging the Royals' starter for solo homers in the third and sixth innings for Ohtani's second multi-homer game of 2024. The 29-year-old is now up to 19 home runs on the season, tied for fourth-most in MLB.       Ober (6-4) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings to earn the win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

      Advice: Ober had his start pushed back a day after a rainout Saturday. This was his first quality start since May 12 and the first time he's completed six innings in that span. The right-hander has had a mediocre season so far with a 4.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 73:20 K:BB over 73 innings through 14 starts.     • Kutter Crawford strikes out nine in win over Yanks
      Kutter Crawford racked up nine strikeouts over six innings of three-run baseball in a victory over the Yankees on Sunday night.

      Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander allowed just three hits and one walk on the night. He served up a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the opening inning, then kept the Yankees’ offense completely at bay until Jose Trevino crushed a solo homer in the sixth inning. They scratched out another run in the sixth as Anthony Volpe scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. Crawford generated 16 swings and misses on 84 pitches in the ballgame — nine on his sweeper — while posting a terrific CSW of 39 percent.     • Camilo Doval has ugly outing in rout
      Brought in with a 13-2 lead in the ninth, Camilo Doval was charged with four runs in one-third of an inning Sunday against the Angels.

      Advice: Ouch. The Giants just wanted to get Doval some work after three days off, and he wound up allowing four hits and two walks. It’s the second time this month that he’s allowed four runs, though it wasn’t nearly as costly last time.     • Shohei Ohtani homers twice in Dodgers’ win
      Shohei Ohtani launched his 18th and 19th homers of the year Sunday off the Royals’ Brady Singer in a 3-0 win.

      Advice: The Dodgers’ other run came on the second of back-to-back homers from Freddie Freeman in the sixth. Ohtani’s first homer today was crushed 451 feet to center. Ohtani had been slumping some of late, having come in at .216/.310/.412 in June. He’s still fifth in the majors in OPS (.976), sixth in average (.309), fourth in homers and tied for fifth in runs scored (53). Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm
       
    • Ober allows one run in win over Athletics Sunday
      Bailey Ober allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday.



      Advice: Ober gave up six hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his sixth of the year. The lone run off of Ober came on a Daz Cameron home run in the seventh inning. Home runs have been a problem for him this season. Ober has allowed 1.48 HR/9, which has been a contributing factor as to why his ERA is 4.81 despite a 4.04 xFIP. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Athletics on the road next week.

      Garver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

      Advice: Garver had started each of the past five games at either designated hitter or catcher, going just 2-for-18 but drawing seven walks over that stretch. The 33-year-old's .646 OPS still represents a more than 200-point downturn from his 2023 mark with the Rangers (.870), but Garver still looks like he'll play frequently against left-handed pitching and fairly regularly against right-handed pitching.       Advice: Arozarena went yard in the ninth inning to tally his ninth homer of the season and his first in June. Despite the lack of power, he has managed to hit .263 with a .417 on-base percentage for the month -- both of which are significant improvements over his season-long line.
