    • Reaches 200 career homers
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: His blast in the fifth inning off Sonny Gray capped the scoring for the Mets in an eventual 7-4 loss. It was Alonso's 200th career homer, putting him in very select company -- only Darryl Strawberry, David Wright and Mike Piazza have also reached that milestone in a Mets uniform. Alonso has played in every game this season for New York, slashing .248/.336/.505 over 27 contests with eight home runs, 14 RBI and 20 runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 am

    • Goes deep in loss
Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a double in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Cronenworth doubled his first time up and then would briefly put the Padres in front with a two-run shot to right off Taijuan Walker in the third. The 30-year-old has found his bat lately with seven hits and five RBI over his last five games. For the year, he's now slashing .264/.344/.453 with four homers, 19 RBI, 14 runs and a 12:19 BB:K in 122 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 am

    • Sharp in first rehab outing
Bradley did not allow a hit and walked one while striking out seven across five scoreless innings Sunday in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Bradley was on the mound in game action for the first time since March 6, but he showed no signs of rust. He also threw 65 pitches, which keeps him on track to return by mid-May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:06 pm

    • Suffers hand injury in win
Yoshida exited Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs in the sixth inning due to a left hand injury, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Yoshida jammed his left hand on a groundout in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, ultimately leaving the game after the top of the sixth inning. Considering the outfielder was able remain in the game as long as he did and even record a hit in his second at-bat, it's possible that the injury is minor. The team will determine if he needs X-rays during Monday's off day, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Struggles in Milwaukee
Stroman pitched four innings, giving up four runs on six hits and five walks while striking out four in Sunday's 15-5 win over the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Stroman was able to survive four scoreless frames to open Sunday's outing before the wheels fell off in the bottom of the fifth. He allowed all five batters he faced in the inning to reach base, including a three-run home run by Jake Bauers, which knotted the game up at 4-4. The 32-year-old has now surrendered five total homers over his last four starts after not giving one up in either of his first two outings in 2024. Stroman now owns a 3.69 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 31.2 innings in six starts this season, and he's tentatively set to return to the mound Friday home for a matchup against the Tigers. • Marcus Stroman can’t survive fifth versus Brewers
Marcus Stroman yielded four runs and five walks in four-plus innings Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Stroman kept pitching out of trouble early, but the fifth started with a walk, an infield single, an RBI double, a three-run homer and another walk before he was finally pulled. In all, Stroman allowed six hits, walked five and hit a batter. He seems pretty lucky to have a 3.69 ERA through six starts. Last year, he had a 3.95 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP with just nine homers allowed in 136 2/3 innings. His WHIP is 1.43 at the moment, and he’s given up five homers in 31 2/3 innings. • Ozzie Albies has two hits in win over Guardians
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Albies’ double was a well-hit 321-foot shot at 96 mph off the bat, and it’s good to see him making authoritative contact so soon since being activated off the IL. He now has a .329/.393/.513 slash line and should be back to being locked into all lineups. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:03 pm

    • Another impressive start
Skubal (4-0) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings against the Royals. He struck out six.

Advice: Skubal began the day by allowing a leadoff double to Maikel Garcia followed by an RBI single by Bobby Witt, but the Royals were able to muster only two harmless singles and a walk the rest of the way. Skubal entered the contest with an ERA of 5.09 and only one win in eight decisions over 11 career appearances against Kansas City but quickly settled in to post his fourth start out of six this season in which he's allowed one or fewer runs with no more than five baserunners against. Skubal, whose strong outing dropped his season-long ERA to 1.72 with a 0.74 WHIP, will look to continue his early-season dominance in his next start, tentatively slated to take place in New York with a weekend matchup against the Yankees. • Skubal stymies Royals on Sunday
Tarik Skubal allowed one run on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Royals.

Advice: Skubal struck out six and walked one while throwing 91 pitches in those seven innings. He allowed just one extra-base hit and posted an impressive 34 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. Interestingly, Skubal threw just 13 combined sliders and curves today, opting instead to rely heavily on pounding the zone with his four-seam and sinker and getting a tremendous 55 percent whiff rate on his changeup. However, part of what has made Skubal so good is a deeper arsenal that now allows him to go away from certain pitches and still have dominant outings. He has a tougher matchup next week against the Yankees, but you start him everywhere. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:41 pm
