    • Jorge Soler absent from Giants lineup on Saturday
Jorge Soler is not in the Giants’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s battle against the Yankees.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a regular day of rest and maintenance for the 32-year-old slugger. Trenton Brooks will serve as the Giants’ designated hitter in his place on Saturday and will bat seventh against Cody Poteet and the Yankees in San Francisco. Rotoworld Today, 2:50 pm

    • Taking seat
Soler is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Soler is hitless in his last 14 at-bats with four strikeouts and will get a day off Saturday to regroup. Trenton Brooks will be the Giants' designated hitter and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 2:49 pm

    • Idle versus southpaw
Fraley isn't in the Reds' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: With lefty starter Justin Steele set to toe the slab for Chicago, the lefty-hitting Fraley will step out of the lineup Saturday. His absence will move Tyler Stephenson into the DH role while Luke Maile starts behind the plate, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:52 pm

    • Resting Saturday
Campusano isn't in the Padres' lineup Saturday versus Kansas City.

Advice: Campusano is still ice cold at the plate and is now 0-for-19 across his last seven games. He'll give way to Kyle Higashioka on Saturday and may continue to lose playing time if his offensive struggles continue. Rotowire.com Today, 12:04 pm
    • Breather Saturday
McCormick is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: McCormick will head to the bench after he went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in Friday's 6-1 loss to Minnesota. Mauricio Dubon will take over in left field and bat seventh Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 am

    • Goes deep again Friday
Happ went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and three total RBI in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Happ did his best to keep the Cubs in the game, launching his sixth home run of the season in the second inning, then walking home a run with the bases loaded in the fifth. The outfielder has gone deep four times over his last six games, and he has a robust 1.184 OPS during the stretch. Happ's overall numbers don't look as good, but he's worth riding with while he's hot. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 am

    • Jordan Lawlar (thumb) starts rehab assignment
Diamondbacks SS prospect Jordan Lawlar (thumb) hit a two-run double on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Arizona’s Rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.

Advice: Lawlar is working his way back from late-March thumb surgery, which was expected to keep him sideline for at least 8-10 weeks. The 21-year-old is one of the most intriguing prospects in the entire fantasy landscape and figures to be ready to return to Arizona at some point later this summer. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 am

    • Chas McCormick strikes out three times
Chas McCormick fanned all three times he was up Friday versus the Twins.

Advice: The Astros have decided that José Abreu’s pre-2023 track record matters more than McCormick’s impressive 2023 output and have thus started McCormick just twice in the last six games. We think that’s probably the wrong call, but at the same time, McCormick has not, in any way, resembled the threat he was last year. We still think the Astros should give him a few weeks of regular playing time to see if he can bounce back, but we’re not especially optimistic that he would take advantage of said opportunity. • Loses to Rockies
Buehler (1-3) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking the loss Friday versus the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler gave up three runs in the third inning and a solo home run to Ezequiel Tovar in the fourth. While it wasn't a particularly sharp outing for Buehler, the Dodgers failed to support him with just five hits and two walks. He has two quality starts in five outings since returning from Tommy John surgery. Buehler is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB over 25 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:08 pm
