    • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run -- his team-leading 23rd RBI -- and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds, which started five players batting .200 or lower, have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Stays hot in win
Pages went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's blowout win over Atlanta.

Advice: Pages jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Bryce Elder to lead off the bottom of the fourth and launched it 412 feet into the stands in center field for his fourth home run of the season, and second in his last three games. The rookie outfielder also added a single in the contest, giving him back-to-back multi-hit games. Pages has been on an absolute tear at the plate throughout his now 10-game hitting streak, batting .418 (18-for-43) over that stretch with three homers, nine RBI and nine runs scored. He's also tallied at least one RBI in three straight games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 am

    • Sitting against lefty
Cowser isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: With lefty Andrew Abbott set to take the mound for Cincinnati, the lefty-hitting Cowser will begin Saturday's contest on the bench. His absence will open a spot for Ryan McKenna to start in left field while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:48 pm

    • Tallies four hits
Pages went 4-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: The four hits, all singles, were a new career high for Pages. The Dodgers rookie also drove in the game-winning run, bringing home Will Smith for a walkoff victory in the 11th inning. Pages has enjoyed a productive start to his big-league career, slashing .333/.354/.567 with three home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored over 65 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:39 pm

    • End of chapter: Pages walks-off Atlanta in 11th
Andy Pages went 4-for-5 with the game-winning single in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over Atlanta on Friday.

Advice: Pages put an end to that chapter, with the chapter being an 11-inning affair in this case. The rookie outfielder has his first ever four-hit game, and one of those was a walk-off single in the 11th off Jesse Chavez. Pages has looked the part and then some thus far, and is obviously worthy of roster consideration in redraft leagues. Rotoworld Friday, 10:14 pm

    • Mike Trout undergoes successful knee surgery
Mike Trout underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair the meniscus tear in his left knee.

Advice: Officially, Trout underwent a partial medial meniscectomy. While there’s still no official timetable for his return, the Angels remain optimistic that he’ll be able to return to the lineup at some point during the 2024 season. Unfortunately, that leaves fantasy managers in leagues without injured list spots having to carry a zero on the bench for an indefinite amount of time, or risk the pain of throwing him back into the free agent pool and not being able to reacquire him when/if he does return. • Undergoes surgery
Trout underwent surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The three-time American League MVP suffered the injury Monday against the Phillies, and there wasn't much of a delay before he went under the knife. Trout remains without an official timeline for his return, but he'll rehab in Anaheim for the foreseeable future. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:40 pm

    • Colton Cowser absent from Orioles lineup on Friday
Colton Cowser is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: After lighting the world on fire at the plate for a while after joining the Orioles’ starting lineup, Cowser has struggled recently — hitting just .107/.265/.143 with zero homers, one RBI and a 14/5 K/BB ratio over 34 plate appearances in his last nine games. Heston Hjerstad will start in his place on Friday night and will bat eighth against Hunter Greene and the Reds. Rotoworld Friday, 1:30 pm

    • Receives day off
Cowser is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Cowser will get a breather Friday as Heston Kjerstad handles left field. Through 30 games, Cowser is slashing .277/.351/.578 with six homers and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:16 pm
