  • Launches homer in loss
Paredes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes took Erick Fedde deep for a solo shot in the top of the fourth, giving Tampa Bay an early 1-0 lead. He later singled and came around to score in the top of the ninth on a double from Harold Ramirez. The homer was the 25-year-old's seventh of the season and second in his last five games. Since April 14, Paredes has batted .314 with three home runs, seven RBI and seven runs scored over 51 at-bats in 13 games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:17 pm

  • Christian Walker goes deep as D’Backs top Mariners
Christian Walker went 2-for-4 and clubbed a solo home run on Sunday as the Diamondbacks topped the Mariners 3-2 in Seattle.

Advice: Walker delivered the equalizer for the Diamondbacks in the second inning of this one, blasting a 422-foot (104.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Logan Gilbert. He also added a two-out double off of Gilbert in the fourth inning but wound up stranded there. With the two-hit attack, the 33-year-old slugger is now hitting .271/.383/.439 with five homers and 18 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:15 pm
  • Anthony Rizzo hits 300th homer in Yankees’ rout
Anthony Rizzo went 4-for-4 and hit his 300th career homer Sunday as the Yankees crushed the Brewers 15-5.

Advice: Rizzo also walked. His homer, which was hit off Janson Junk, would have been out of Just 10 ballparks. It came in his 1,664th game since debuting with the Padres in 2011. He’s hit 57 in 307 games since arriving in New York. The formerly slumping Rizzo has six hits in two days and four homers in his last six games. He’s all of the way up to .277/.341/.446 on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:14 pm
  • Jake Bauers goes 3-for-5, hits three-run homer
Jake Bauers went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and pitched a scoreless innings Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Bauers was in the lineup for just one game of the series against his previous team, but he made the most of it, delivering a three-run blast off Marcus Stroman. He’s at .214/.267/.411 in 60 plate appearances. A reduced role is probably coming once Christian Yelich (back) returns, particularly since Yelich will probably spend more time DHing than usual. • Mark Vientos hits walkoff homer in 11th
Mark Vientos walked it off with a two-run homer in the bottom of the 11th as the Mets beat the Cardinals 4-2 on Sunday.

Advice: Harrison Bader had previously tied the game with a single. Vientos entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Brett Baty against lefty Matthew Liberatore in the ninth and singled. He then remained in to play third base and, surprisingly, got another crack at Liberatore in the 11th. With Vientos going 3-for-4 so far in what was supposed to be a brief stay with the Mets, one wonders if the Mets might send Baty down and give Vientos a real chance at the third. It’d be a downgrade defensively, but the Mets would have Joey Wendle available to take over late in games. Rotoworld Today, 2:36 pm

  • Nevin has two hits, HR in win over Orioles
Tyler Nevin went 2-for-5 with a home run in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: The A’s were roundly criticized for deciding to play Nevin over Esteury Ruiz; however, Nevin is hitting .286/.342/.400 during his time in Oakland with two home runs and six RBI. His homer was a no-doubter, leaving the bat at 105.7 mph and traveling 407 feet. He’s hitting near the top of the A’s lineup and should be added in AL-only leagues while he’s swinging the bat like this. He can be left on the wire in most other formats for now. • Mountcastle, has three hits, HR vs A’s
Ryan Mountcastle went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was a 424-foot shot off Paul Blackburn that left the bat at 108.7 mph. It was Mountcastle’s fourth home run on the season, and he’s now slashing .319/.379/.527 on the season with 14 RBI. He gets lost in the shuffle with the Orioles’ having truckloads of talented young prospects, but Mountcastle has been one of their better hitters to start the season and needs to be started in all leagues for now. • Isaac Paredes goes 2-for-4, hits seventh homer
Isaac Paredes finished 2-for-4 with a homer versus the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Paredes is the one holdover in the Rays lineup who hasn’t been hurt or a disappointment. The homer today was his seventh. No one else on the squad has more than three. Rotoworld Today, 2:02 pm

  • Freddie Freeman homers in loss
Freddie Freeman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Sunday

Advice: Freeman hit a 425-foot blast off of Kevin Gausman that left the bat at 106.3 mph. It’s just his second home run on the season to fo along with an impressive 19 RBI. Freeman is hitting .306/.425/.435 on the season and while the power may not be as prevalent as he continues to get along, the rest of his offensive profile as remained tremendous.
