  • Bats leadoff Monday
Alexander batted leadoff and went 0-for-1 with three walks and two runs scored in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Alexander served as the leadoff batter for the first time, as manager Torey Lovullo recently tweaked the top of the order. Primary leadoff batter Ketel Marte has been moved to third in the order. Alexander has been adept at getting on base, posting a .406 OBP over 69 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:11 am
  • Clubs pair of homers
Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a solo home run during Monday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Turner dominated Royals starter Jonathan Bowlan -- who was making his second career start -- notching home runs off him in the first and third innings. The contest doubled Turner's 2024 home run total and was his first multi-homer game since June of 2023. Through 28 games, Turner is slashing .311/.390/.533 with 15 RBI and 15 runs scored. • Hits go-ahead home run
Morel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Morel was hitless until the ninth inning, when he delivered a two-out home run with a runner on against New York closer Edwin Diaz to break open a 1-1 tie. The key blast was Morel's fourth of the season and first since April 9. He's not off to as fast of a start as he had last year, but the 24-year-old can heat up in a hurry, and perhaps this effort will provide the spark. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 pm
  • Justin Turner homers twice in win vs. Royals
Justin Turner went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday’s 6-5 win against the Royals.

Advice: Turner has dominated the Royals this season. In five games against Kansas City this season, Turner is 6-for-14 (.429 AVG) with two homers and four RBI. It was the 39-year-old’s first multi HR game since last June when he hit two round trippers against the Yankees. Turner is boasting a .923 OPS through 28 games this season and if he’s producing like this, he’ll be a great addition to fantasy managers given he wasn’t much of a hot commodity heading into the season. • Sitting vs. lefty
Rojas isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Rojas will be available off the bench as the Mariners face off against lefty Max Fried in the series opener. Luis Urias draws the start at the hot corner and will bat eighth as a result. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:04 pm
  • Christopher Morel hits go-ahead homer to sink Mets
Christopher Morel slugged a go-ahead two-run homer on Monday, powering the Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Mets.

Advice: Morel stunned the New York faithful at Citi Field with a tie-breaking ninth-inning blast to left-center field off Mets stopper Edwin Díaz. It was his fourth big fly of the season and snapped a 16-game homerless drought dating back to April 9. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:29 pm
  • Shut down from activity
Gelof (oblique) is currently shut down from baseball activity, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gelof was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique, but he appears to be on track to miss more than the minimum amount of days. The 24-year-old will likely need to ramp his activity over a series of days before he could ultimately be activated. In the meantime, Max Schuemann will likely continue to handle the lion's share of work at second base with Oakland in Gelof's absence. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 pm

  • Gelof (oblique) shut down from baseball activities
Zack Gelof (oblique) has been shut down from baseball activities.

Advice: That’s not good. Gelof was placed on the injured list with a left oblique strain Thursday, and it sounds like the 24-year-old won’t be ready to roll when he’s eligible to be activated in the early portion of May. Fantasy managers who are counting on Gelof should probably look elsewhere for a short-term — and potentially longer — replacement. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:25 pm

  • Josh Rojas taking seat against lefty Monday
Josh Rojas is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against Atlanta.

Advice: Rojas is currently on a platoon with Luis Urias, and it’ll be Urias manning the hot corner with left-hander Max Fried on the bump for Atlanta. Seattle will also have Sam Haggerty in left field against the southpaw after recalling the versatile infielder/outfielder from Triple-A Tacoma. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:03 pm
