    • Trio of hits in loss
Fry went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Fry is 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 12 contests, adding five doubles and two RBI in that span. That's a bit less all-around production than he was showing earlier in the campaign, but it's still a solid showing. He's now at a .316/.422/.532 slash line with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, four stolen bases and 13 doubles through 60 games. Fry has mostly seen time at designated hitter and catcher recently, but he could also be an option in right field while Will Brennan (ribs) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Bryce Harper goes on IL with mild hamstring strain
Phillies placed 1B Bryce Harper on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: The Phillies are calling it a low-grade strain, so Harper could be ready to go as soon as his 10 days are up. Kody Clemens will fill in at first base against righties. The Phillies will probably shift Alec Bohm to first and play Edmundo Sosa at third versus lefties. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:54 am

    • Headed to IL with low-grade strain
The Phillies placed Harper on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Harper suffered the injury on the final play of Thursday's loss to the Marlins while running out a grounder. The good news is it's considered a low-grade strain and Harper might return as soon as July 9, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. The Phillies could also play things cautiously and hold him out until after the All-Star break. While Harper is sidelined, Philadelphia will likely shift Alec Bohm over to first base and put Edmundo Sosa at third. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 am

    • Bryce Harper gets good news, still IL bound
Bryce Harper was diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring strain but will go on the 10-day injured list, according to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb.

Advice: The Phillies think there’s a chance Harper could be ready when his 10 days are up. They’ll likely activate Kody Clemens in Harper’s place and use him at first base against righties until Harper returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:23 am

    • Dealing with hamstring issue
Harper felt hamstring tightness while running to first base in the ninth inning of Thursday's game against the Marlins, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Harper sustained the injury on a groundout to end the game. Manager Rob Thompson said no more details were known about the issue but that there would be more information Friday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:33 pm

    • Bryce Harper suffers left hamstring injury in loss
Bryce Harper suffered a left hamstring injury during Thursday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Not good. Harper suffered the apparent injury during the ninth inning of Thursday’s loss while attempting to beat out an infield grounder on the final play of the contest. The 31-year-old slugger, who crushed an RBI double off the base of the center-field wall in the opening frame against Marlins southpaw Trevor Rogers for his 1,000th career hit, will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status prior to Friday’s showdown. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:30 pm

    • Three hits in Wednesday's win
Diaz went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The 25-year-old backstop extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with seven RBI. Diaz has yet to go yard since taking a foul tip off his finger and missing a few games earlier this month, but his current hot stretch has pushed his slash line on the season up to .271/.298/.415 with seven homers, 32 runs and 40 RBI in 69 contests. • Yainer Diaz tallies three hits, two RBI in win
Yainer Diaz went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Astros’ win over the Rockies.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a run-scoring single off Rockies starter Ryan Feltner in the fourth inning before tacking on another RBI single a couple frames later to give Houston a six-run advantage at the time. The 25-year-old backstop got off to a frosty start this season at the dish, but he’s rounded into form of late, batting .351 (20-for-57) with two homers and one steal over his past 15 games. • Heading to bench Wednesday
Fry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: After leaving Sunday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays earlier due to elbow inflammation, Fry returned to the lineup as a designated hitter for both of the Guardians' first two games in Baltimore, going 2-for-8 with two doubles and an RBI. The Guardians haven't indicated that Fry is dealing with a setback with the elbow, so his absence from the lineup Wednesday is likely just a pre-planned maintenance day.
