    • Logs 13th save Monday
Estevez earned a save against the Brewers on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Estevez had little trouble protecting a two-run, ninth-inning lead, retiring the side in order on 13 pitches. The veteran reliever has turned things around after a rough middle portion of May -- he hasn't allowed a baserunner in seven straight outings, racking up six saves and a win during that span. As such, his hold on the Angels' closer role is, for now at least, very secure. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago
    • Goes deep Monday
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk against the Cubs in Monday's 7-6 victory.

Advice: Bailey brought San Francisco to within two runs with his eighth-inning solo blast. It was just his second extra-base hit over his past 16 contests, a span in which he's batted .264 (14-for-53). Bailey has a modest five long balls on the campaign, but he's been solid offensively with a .286/.360/.435 slash line, 23 RBI, 18 runs, two steals, an 11.5 percent walk rate and a 19.0 percent strikeout rate over 179 plate appearances. • Carlos Estévez perfect in seventh straight outing
Carlos Estévez threw a scoreless ninth with a two-run lead for a save Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: It was Estévez’s seventh consecutive perfect inning, a stretch that’s lowered his ERA from 5.06 to 3.52. He still doesn’t seem like a great bet going forward, but he certainly has it working now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:01 pm
    • Rengifo comes off bench day after wrist injury
Luis Rengifo came off the bench and struck out as a pinch-hitter Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: He then remained in to play two innings at third base. Rengifo didn’t start because of a wrist injury suffered Sunday, but it seems like he’ll be fine. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:01 pm

    • Bailey blasts fifth home run against Cubs Monday
Patrick Bailey went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run against the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Bailey’s home run was his fifth of the season. His solo shot in the eighth inning brought the Giants to within two runs before their ninth inning comeback. Bailey continues to hit as his average is up to ,286 with a .795 OPS and 23 RBI in 48 games with the Giants this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:37 pm

    • Drives in two runs in win
Cruz went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: With Paul Skenes dealing on the mound, Cruz's two-run single in the first inning ended up being the deciding runs. The 25-year-old now has 10 of his 30 RBI for the season over his past nine games. He's been swinging a hot bat since the calendar turned to June, slashing .295/.325/.525 over his last 11 games. • Goes deep in loss
Turner went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Turner scored Toronto's first run after drawing a walk in the second inning. He later ripped a solo shot in the sixth inning for his fifth home run of the year. He snapped a 33-game homerless drought, during which he slashed .155/.250/.191. Turner now owns a .691 OPS with 18 extra-base hits and 24 runs scored through 233 plate appearances. • Dealing with hamstring injury
Friedl suffered a hamstring injury and exited Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates in the bottom of the fifth inning, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Friedl made a diving catch in center field, robbing Nick Gonzales of an extra-base hit in the bottom of the fifth, injuring his hamstring in the process. Manager David Bell said that Friedl had a full range of motion and strength, stating that the hamstring was "just tight." The outfielder's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Pittsburgh, but it appears as if Friedl avoided a significant injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 pm
    • Oneil Cruz hits two-run single, Pirates edge Reds
Oneil Cruz delivered a two-run single on Monday, lifting the Pirates to a 4-1 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Cruz put the Pirates ahead for good with a two-run single off Reds starter Carson Spiers in the opening frame, which wound up being more than enough run support for young ace Paul Skenes and Pittsburgh’s bullpen in a low-scoring affair at PNC Park. It was somehow the first meeting this season between the longtime division rivals. Cruz hasn’t exactly torn the cover off the ball this season, but he’s shown flashes of the big-time upside that makes him one of the most exciting young players in the game.
