    • Spencer Torkelson homers twice in Triple-A game
Spencer Torkelson went 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

Advice: Torkelson had some nice games immediately after being sent down by the Tigers, but he was in the midst of a two-week slump before breaking out of it last night. Overall, he’s at .274/.372/.452 with three homers in 18 games for Toledo. The Tigers might give him another opportunity soon, but there’s a good argument that Parker Meadows, who has hit .285/.378/.519 since his demotion, is more deserving at this point. • Tallies three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Mountcastle has four multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 11-for-28 (.393) in that span. While he hasn't hit a homer since June 7, he's still been consistent at the plate while occupying a starting role at first base. The 27-year-old is slashing .281/.325/.476 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 43 runs scored, 21 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 74 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:54 pm
    • Homers again in win
Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez doubled and scored in the first inning and hit a three-run home run in the fourth. It was the third baseman's second straight game with a homer and fifth multi-hit effort since June 18. On the season, the 31-year-old is hitting .279 with 21 home runs, 72 RBI, 61 runs scored and 15 steals in 298 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm
    • José Ramírez drills three-run homer to defeat O’s
José Ramírez went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer on Tuesday, lifting the Guardians to a 10-8 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Ramírez clobbered a three-run shot in the fourth inning to give Cleveland a commanding four-run advantage at the time. The 31-year-old fantasy star has gone deep three times over his last four games and is now up to 21 round-trippers this season already. He’s put together a remarkable year so far, batting .279 (83-for-298) with 61 runs scored, 21 homers, 72 RBI and 15 steals through 74 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:30 pm
    • Sitting again Tuesday
Drury (illness) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Drury was scratched from the lineup Friday against the Dodgers due to the illness, and his absence will extend to four games Tuesday. The 31-year-old was reportedly available to pinch hit Monday but wasn't utilized off the bench. Drury should continue to be considered day-to-day while Luis Guillorme receives a start at second base. • Brandon Drury out fifth straight game due to illness
Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Drury has managed to somehow avoid a trip to the injured list, but he remains out of Los Angeles’ lineup for the fifth consecutive contest due to an ongoing battle with a respiratory virus. It’ll be defensive ace Luis Guillorme filling in at the keystone in his ongoing absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:40 pm

    • Progressing in baseball activities
Carpenter (back) took swings off a tee Monday and participated in throwing/running drills Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down in late May due to a lumbar spine stress fracture, but he's now back to taking part in baseball activities. Carpenter still has significant rehab work to do before being ready for game action, and he'll likely require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers. Advice: Hernandez is currently tending to personal matters in the Dominican Republic and was initially expected to rejoin the team prior to Tuesday's contest. However, manager Dave Roberts gave Hernandez an extra day off. The 31-year-old outfielder could be back in the lineup Wednesday for the series finale. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:54 pm

Advice: Hernández was scheduled to fly back from the Dominican Republic to Chicago for Tuesday’s affair, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts decided to give the 31-year-old another day off according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. It’s likely that Hernández will be back in the lineup Wednesday against the Pale Hose. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:45 pm
