• Chris Paddack goes six scoreless in beating Boston
Chris Paddack yielded just a pair of hits over six scoreless innings Friday as the Twins topped the Red Sox 6-2 on Friday.

Advice: Yeah, Boston’s offense is overrated, but this is the best Paddack has looked apart from a start against the White Sox. He got 12 missed swings, and only five of the 14 balls in play against him were hard hit. The win moves him to 3-1 with a 4.78 ERA. He’s not throwing well enough to be a quality play in mixed leagues, but he wouldn’t be a horrible option in a home start against the Mariners next week. Rotoworld Today, 8:56 pm

  • Jhoan Duran fans two in earning second save
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his second save Friday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Duran threw 11 pitches tonight and got five missed swings. His CSW was an absurd 64%, and he’s still just settling in after missing a month with a strained oblique. Rotoworld Today, 8:56 pm
  • Earns save in return
Kimbrel earned the save in Friday's 3-0 win over Cincinnati, striking out three in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: It was Kimbrel's first appearance in five days, as the veteran right-hander was dealing with back soreness. He certainly didn't show any signs of rust Friday, striking out the side to close out a shutout victory for his eighth save this season. Kimbrel had blown consecutive save chances before he was sidelined, allowing three runs in just a third of an inning. He now sports a 2.92 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB across 12.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:49 pm
  • Notches third save
Hader issued a walk over one scoreless frame Friday. He struck out two and earned a save over the Mariners.

Advice: Hader needed 22 pitches (13 strikes) to finish off the 5-3 win but still came away with his third save as an Astro. It was his first save since April 19 and he's converted three of his four opportunities so far. He's produced an impressive 23:7 K:BB despite an unsightly 5.93 ERA through 13.2 frames. Hader has punched out seven batters while not allowing an earned run over his last four innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:44 pm
  • Another stellar outing
Irvin (3-1) earned the win Friday over the Reds, allowing just two hits while striking out four over 6.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: Irvin continued his dominant run Friday -- he's now won three consecutive starts while extending his scoreless-inning streak to 20.2. The 30-year-old left-hander's ERA is down to 2.86 with a 1.07 WHIP and 22:7 K:BB across six starts (34.2 innings) this season. Irvin will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week against Arizona. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm

  • José Soriano fires six scoreless to beat Guardians
José Soriano delivered a strong performance in Friday night’s victory over the Guardians, allowing just five hits over six innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler punched out three batters on the evening while allowing one base on balls. All five of the hits that he allowed were singles. The only real threat against him came in the fifth inning as the Guardians put runners at first and third with one out, but he got Brayan Rocchio on a comebacker to the mound and ultimately retired Andres Gimenez on strikes to end the threat. Soriano got 10 whiffs on 88 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll attempt to further improve upon his 3.77 ERA and 1.29 WHIP when he does battle against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 8:33 pm
  • Picks up second save
Adam gave up a run on two hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in a 10-8 win over the Mets.

Advice: The right-hander has collected saves in back-to-back appearances, but he's looked a bit shaky both times. Adam served up a solo shot to Brett Baty on Friday before giving up a two-out double to Brandon Nimmo that brought the tying run to the plate. Adam's 1.80 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB through 15 innings on the season remain impressive, but with Pete Fairbanks (forearm) set to begin a rehab assignment next week, he should return to setup duties before long. • Slams door for save
Duran struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Red Sox on Friday.

Advice: Duran needed just 11 pitches to quickly retire the middle third of Boston's lineup in order. He's struck out three batters while grabbing a pair of saves in two appearances since returning from the injured lust. The 26-year-old posted terrific numbers last season -- 2.45 ERA and 12.1 K/9 through 62.1 innings -- and should see plenty of save chances throughout the year. Rotowire.com Today, 8:17 pm
  • Locks down sixth save
Alvarado earned the save in Friday's 4-3 win over the Giants, allowing one hit while logging a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Alvarado allowed a leadoff single before setting down the next three Giants, closing out the one-run victory for his sixth save of the season. After giving up five runs in his first outing of the year, Alvarado's allowed just one run in his subsequent 13 innings. The left-hander lowered his ERA to 3.95 with a 1.24 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB on the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 8:16 pm
