    • Punches out seven
Littell didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Littell fared better against the Red Sox the second time around, holding them to three hits Tuesday after yielding seven hits and four runs to Boston in his last start. Though the 28-year-old did surrender a solo homer to Jarren Duran, he tied his season high in strikeouts and fewer than two batters for the sixth time in his last seven starts. Littell hasn't gone deeper than six innings this season but owns a 3.42 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP across 10 appearances. He's scheduled for a home start against the Athletics next Tuesday. • Notches fourth win
Sandlin (4-0) walked one and struck out two without allowing a hit or a run over two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Tuesday over the Mets.

Advice: Starter Xzavion Curry went 4.1 innings, falling short of qualifying for the win. Sandlin stepped up to finish the fifth inning, working his way out of a bases-loaded jam. The right-hander has kept runs off the board in all but three of his 26 appearances, though he has given up multiple runs in each of those three missteps. He's still pitched to a rock-solid 2.35 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB with a save and three holds over 23 innings while filling a fireman role in the Guardians' bullpen. Rotowire.com Today, 9:15 pm
    • Completes five innings Tuesday
Bradish allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings Tuesday versus the Cardinals before the game was suspended due to inclement weather in the sixth inning.

Advice: Bradish likely had more in the tank after throwing 74 pitches (52 strikes), but there's virtually no chance he pitches when play resumes Wednesday. Bradish has looked dialed in through four starts so far, but he's yet to pitch past the fifth inning after having his workload managed following a UCL strain that shelved him for the first month of the season. The right-hander is at a 2.41 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 18.2 innings so far. Bradish is lined up to make his next start on the road against the White Sox, a favorable spot for him to potentially earn his first quality start of 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 9:11 pm
    • Pitches well before weather delay
Lynn allowed one unearned run on two hits and struck out five without walking a batter over six innings versus the Orioles on Tuesday before the game was suspended due to inclement weather in the sixth inning.

Advice: The game will be completed prior to Wednesday's regularly-scheduled contest, though Lynn's involvement is almost certainly done. This was arguably his best outing of the season, and it's impressive he did it against an offense as strong as Baltimore. Through 51.1 innings over 10 starts, Lynn has a 3.68 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 48:20 K:BB. The veteran right-hander's next start is projected to be on the road versus the Reds. Rotowire.com Today, 9:05 pm
    • Cristian Javier struggles in no-decision
Cristian Javier was removed after giving up four runs and eight hits in four innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Javier’s stuff was well off tonight; he averaged just 90.4 mph with his fastball, which was down 1.5 mph from his previous average this season. He wound up with just one strikeout and three walks. All things considered, he was lucky to give up just the four runs. Javier said afterwards that the decline in velocity was due to poor mechanics and not anything injury-related, so that’s probably good. He’ll face the Mariners next. Rotoworld Today, 9:03 pm
    • Josh Hader gets win after two perfect innings
Josh Hader picked up a win after pitching perfect ninth and 10th innings against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Hader fanned four while pitching two innings for the second time in his last three appearances. He’s allowed one run and struck out 14 in 9 1/3 innings this month, lowering his ERA from 6.39 to 4.09. Rotoworld Today, 9:02 pm
    • Griffin Canning solid for five against Astros
Griffin Canning allowed two runs in five innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Astros.

Advice: The runs came on back-to-back homers from Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez in the first inning. Canning was effective afterwards, though he ended the day with two strikeouts and three walks. His velocity has started to creep up a little after being down two mph from last year initially, but his 16% strikeout rate isn’t impressive at all. Rotoworld Today, 9:02 pm
    • Carlos Estévez takes loss in 10th versus Astros
Carlos Estévez dropped to 0-3 after allowing the automatic runner to score in the 10th against the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Estévez had no cushion after the Angels failed to score in the top of the inning, and he was stuck facing the heart of the Astros order with Kyle Tucker on second. The decision was made to walk Yordan Alvarez to start the inning. Estevez then retired Alex Bregman before giving up a game-winning hit to Jeremy Peña. We’re not at all impressed by the job that Estévez is going, but this one doesn’t reflect badly on him. Since both Estévez and Hunter Strickland were pitching for the second straight day tonight, Adam Cimber might be in line for a save chance Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 9:02 pm
    • Solid showing in loss
Schmidt (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Although Schmidt's scoreless inning streak ended at 17.0 innings, he didn't allow more than three runs -- something he's yet to do this season. Dylan Moore inflicted all the damage on Schmidt, launching a two-run homer in the third inning. On the year, Schmidt boasts a 2.59 ERA with a 61:17 K:BB over 55.2 innings and owns his best strikeout rate since becoming a full-time big-leaguer in 2022. The 28-year-old is scheduled to face the Padres in San Diego on Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:46 pm
