• Kiner-Falefa has two-homer game in loss Saturday
Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with two home runs against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Bo Bichette continues to miss games with a calf injury, giving Kiner-Falefa some run at shortstop. He was able to hit two home runs out of the leadoff spot on Saturday. Kiner-Falefa now has six home runs on the year. He’s hitting .281 with a .733 OPS and 31 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:16 pm

  • Kwan has two hits, home run in win Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Is there anything Kwan can’t do? The home run was his sixth of the year and second in his last four games. After going 0-for-4 on Friday to snap his 14-game hitting streak, he bounced back with another two hits. Kwan has been one of the best hitters in the league. He’s hitting .390 with a 1.013 OPS on the season now. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

  • Kyle Tyler tabbed to start for Marlins on Sunday
Kyle Tyler will be promoted from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday to start for the Marlins in their series finale against the Mariners.

Advice: The Marlins have dealt with an absolutely unrealistic amount of injuries in their starting rotation this season, and with Braxton Garrett getting scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday they really don’t have anywhere else to turn. Tyler, 27, has made eight career appearances at the big-league level — all of them out of the bullpen. At Triple-A Jacksonville this season he has registered a 2.80 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 35/18 K/BB ratio across 45 innings in 10 appearances (eight starts). He can safely be avoided for fantasy purposes. • Has back soreness, off Sunday
Varsho experienced back tightness late in Saturday's game against the Guardians and will be given the day off for Sunday's series finale, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: Varsho grounded out in the ninth inning but never made it out of the batters box, immediately grabbing at his lower back after making contact. Though the injury doesn't seem of much concern, Varsho will be held out of Sunday's contest. Varsho went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Saturday's 6-3 loss. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm

  • Set for first career start
The Marlins plan to call up Tyler from Triple-A Jacksonville to start Sunday's game against the Mariners, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tyler will make a spot start Sunday in place of Braxton Garrett, who was scratched from his start this weekend with left elbow discomfort. Tyler's only appearance this season with Miami came April 26, when he allowed run on one hit across two innings before being designated for assignment. He cleared waivers and remained in the organization as a full-time member of the rotation at Jacksonville, with whom he's accrued a 2.25 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 29:16 K:BB in 40 innings since the beginning of May. • Korey Lee has two hits, homers in win over Tigers
Korey Lee went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Saturday, lifting the White Sox to a 5-1 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: Lee’s sixth inning homer — his seventh big fly of the season — off Tigers reliever Joey Wentz gave Chicago a commanding four-run lead at the time, which they wouldn’t relinquish. It was a relatively quiet afternoon for both sides in this one as Kenta Maeda and Drew Thorpe managed to avoid hard contact pretty well into the middle innings. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

  • Drew Thorpe collects first win Saturday vs. Tigers
Drew Thorpe struck out five over six shutout innings on Saturday against the Tigers to record his first career win.

Advice: Thorpe delivered his strongest performance yet in his third big-league start, leaning heavily on his signature changeup in this one, which generated 10 whiffs on 16 swings, and managed to avoid letting his fastball get demolished. The 23-year-old top pitching prospect limited Detroit’s lineup to just a pair of hits and four walks over six strong frames. There’s definitely some streaming appeal for fantasy managers, if he can avoid hard contact on his pedestrian four-seam fastball at the highest level, because the changeup is that good. He’ll aim to keep the momentum going on Thursday when he squares off against Atlanta’s struggling lineup. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

  • Kenta Maeda allows three runs Saturday in loss
Kenta Maeda was charged with three runs over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Maeda was pretty sharp in this one as he carried a shutout into the fourth inning before giving up a pair of runs. He was tagged for an additional run in the ensuing frame following his exit from the contest. Unfortunately, he didn’t get much run support from Detroit’s lineup and was saddled with a loss. He struck out five and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’ll bring an inflated 6.00 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 41/18 K/BB ratio across 54 innings (13 starts) into a road matchup on Thursday against the Angels. • Remaining out Saturday
Stephenson (undisclosed) isn't in the Reds' lineup Saturday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Manager David Bell said Friday that Stephenson is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. It still isn't clear what the 27-year-old backstop is dealing with, but it is apparently enough to sideline him for a second consecutive game Saturday. While he recovers, Luke Maile will pick up another start behind the plate and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 11:12 am
