• Extends hitting streak to 16 games
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 victory versus the Athletics.

Advice: Tatis belted a solo shot in the fifth inning to give San Diego a 3-1 lead and extend his personal hitting streak to 16 games. The long ball was his third in his past four contests and his fifth during the streak. Tatis is batting a superb .394 across the 16 games with nine RBI, 12 runs and a stolen base. • Andrés Muñoz’s status to be evaluated daily
Andrés Muñoz is still dealing with his sore back, according to manager Scott Servais, and could be day-to-day for the foreseeable future.

Advice: We’re guessing that means Muñoz won’t go tonight after throwing 15 pitches in a scoreless inning Sunday. Ryne Stanek could be the favorite to close tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm
  • Returns to lineup at DH
Soto (forearm) will start at designated hitter and bat second Monday in Kansas City, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Soto missed the previous three contests with left forearm inflammation but is feeling well enough to return to action for the start of the Yankees' series against the Royals. He will be eased into action at DH and it's possible the team will keep him there for a bit in order to protect his forearm. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:19 pm

  • Juan Soto (forearm) returns to lineup as DH
Juan Soto is in the lineup as a designated hitter Monday after missing three games due to forearm inflammation.

Advice: It’s Soto’s first time DHing this season; he had been in right field in all 64 of his starts for the Yankees. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:12 pm

  • Swats another homer in loss
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a solo blast to center in the first inning and would go quiet the rest of the afternoon. The hit streak is a new career high for him and also the longest active streak in baseball. Over that span, he's hitting .410/.463/.672 with four homers, eight RBI, 11 runs and a 4:8 BB:K over 67 plate appearances. He's raised his batting average nearly 40 points since the streak began and now holds a slash line of .281/.359/.467 with a team-high 12 home runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:00 am
  • Notches seventh steal
Varsho went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning win over the A's.

Advice: The 27-year-old outfielder has stolen bags in back-to-back games, giving him seven steals on the year. Varsho keeps finding ways to be productive, and through nine games in June he's batting .296 (8-for-27) with three doubles, two triples and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:49 am

  • Steals home in win
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Garcia stole home as part of a double-steal in the first inning, the third time he's stolen home in his career. It was his fifth theft of the season. The slugger has been grinding at the dish; his first-inning single snapped an 0-for-16 run. For the season, Garcia is batting just .217 with a career-low .699 OPS through 62 games. • Not an option Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers that Soto (forearm) "probably" wasn't available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto went through his normal pregame routine in the hopes of entering Sunday's game as a pinch hitter. Though Boone said that Soto responded well to the pregame workout, the Yankees still opted to err on the side of caution and keep the star outfielder on the bench throughout the night. Soto's status for Monday's series opener versus the Royals thus remains murky after he missed the entirety of the three-game series with the Dodgers due to forearm soreness. • Andrés Muñoz gets hold in return from sore back
Andrés Muñoz, who hadn’t pitched since aggravating his back Tuesday, returned to the mound with a scoreless eighth inning Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Rather than save him for the ninth, the Mariners opted to use Muñoz against the top of the Royals order in the eighth with a two-run lead today. Muñoz did his part, but Michael Baumann went on to give up a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth. The Mariners went on to win in the 10th, with Tayler Saucedo collecting a one-out save. Ryne Stanek, typically the primary alternative to Muñoz, went unused for a second straight day after throwing 39 pitches between Thursday and Friday. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:22 pm
