    • Taking seat due to sore knee
Profar (knee) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Profar started in each of the Padres' first 71 games of the season, but he'll hit the bench for the first time after he was forced out of Tuesday's 4-3 win in the eighth inning due to a sore left knee. Manager Mike Shildt disclosed after the contest that Profar has been battling patellar tendinitis in the knee for years, but the 31-year-old aggravated the injury on a swing during his eighth-inning at-bat. Though Shildt downplayed the knee issue, the skipper admitted that he was unsure if Profar -- who leads the National League with a .424 on-base percentage -- would require imaging on the knee, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Jose Azocar will cover left field Wednesday in place of Profar, whose status will presumably be updated following Thursday's team off day. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:36 am
    • On base four times in win
Kwan went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder just keeps raking. Kwan has hit safely in seven straight games since returning from a hamstring injury at the end of May, batting a blistering .520 (13-for-25) over that stretch, and the only thing keeping him from leading the majors with his .380 batting average is the time he missed due to the injury, as he doesn't yet have enough plate appearances to qualify. Kwan's 3-for-7 performance on the basepaths is a bit troubling, but with four homers and 38 runs through 39 contests, he's on pace for career highs in both categories. • Dealing with sore knee
Manager Mike Shildt said after Tuesday's game versus Oakland that Profar was removed due to left knee soreness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Profar's left leg gave out on him after he swung and missed at a pitch in the seventh inning, but it appears he escaped the incident without any significant damage. Shildt also noted that Profar has been dealing with problems in his knee for a while and is being viewed as day-to-day going forward. Should the 31-year-old outfielder have to sit out a game or two, David Peralta would likely be the next man up to serve as San Diego's left fielder. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:59 pm
    • Jurickson Profar day-to-day with knee soreness
Padres manager Mike Shildt told reporters Jurickson Profar was removed from Tuesday’s game due to left knee soreness that he’s been dealing with for a while.

Advice: The Padres are calling him day-to-day for now. That Profar’s left knee buckled on a swing is rather scary, and we’re certainly more concerned about this than the typical “day-to-day” injury. David Peralta could get some extra at-bats in his place if he needs to miss some time. There should be some additional clarity on his status in the coming days. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:44 pm
    • Exits with leg injury
Profar was removed from Tuesday's game against Oakland after suffering an apparent leg injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Profar's left leg buckled after he took a swing at a pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning. He was immediately taken out of the game by trainers and will presumably undergo testing in the clubhouse. More information on his status should be available after the game. • Jurickson Profar suffers leg injury during swing
Jurickson Profar left Tuesday’s game in the eighth inning with an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Profar’s left knee appeared to pretty much give out on him as he completed a swing and a miss. He tried to walk it off, but he was unable to continue. David Peralta entered mid-at-bat in his place. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:10 pm
    • Marcell Ozuna reaches three times in shutout loss
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with a walk on Tuesday in the Braves’ shutout loss at the hands of the Orioles.

Advice: Ozuna was the lone Braves batter with multiple hits on Tuesdya evening as journeyman Albert Suárez and a quartet of relievers combined on a five-hit shutout at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The 33-year-old slugger has been carrying Atlanta’s lineup all season with a .993 OPS with 18 homers and 55 RBI through 64 games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:08 pm

    • Smacks homer Sunday
Santander went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander has homered in every other game in June, going 11-for-35 (.314) with five long balls and eight RBI over nine contests this month. It's a continuation of the momentum he found at the plate in late May, though the uptick in power is an added positive. The outfielder is up to 14 homers, 37 RBI, 34 runs scored, 13 doubles and one triple while slashing .227/.306/.480 through 60 contests this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:26 pm

    • Steven Kwan homers, reaches four times vs. Marlins
Steven Kwan homered and reached four times in an 8-0 win for the Guardians over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: In addition to Kwan’s homer — a two-run shot in the fifth inning — the outfielder also singled and drew a pair of walks. Keeping in mind that the 26-year-old did miss a good amount of time, he’s still putting together a sensational .371/.431/.523 slash in 151 at-bats. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:59 pm
