He tossed 62 of 92 pitches for strikes in his third quality start of the season, but Bassitt will carry a shaky 5.45 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB through 36.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Philadelphia.       Advice: Gallen was removed from his previous start due to a hamstring injury but was in line to take his next turn this week. The right-hander had been expected to start Wednesday, which was moved to Friday, but will now will be pushed back until next week. There is no issue with the hamstring; Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo opted instead to take advantage of upcoming days off in the schedule to give Gallen extra time. His lone blemish came in the second inning when Ehire Adrianza swatted a two-out solo homer. Wheeler has been one of the best arms in baseball lately, having surrendered one run on seven hits with 22 strikeouts in 18.1 innings across his last three starts.       Advice: Imanaga continued the amazing start to his MLB career, as he now has a stellar 0.78 ERA across 34.2 innings to go along with 35 strikeouts. The lefty has allowed zero earned runs in four of his six appearances so far, and the most he's allowed in an outing was the two earned runs he gave up back on April 20. While it seems unlikely that Imanaga will be able to keep up this incredible pace, it does look like he's already cemented himself as a fantasy star this season.       Advice: Imanaga continues his impressive debut in the majors, making his best start yet on Wednesday with seven shutout frames against the Mets. He worked around three hits and one walk, generating 15 whiffs to strike out seven. The 30-year-old left-hander lowers his ERA to a microscopic 0.78 with a 0.75 WHIP and a 35/4 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings. He lines up for a start against the Padres in Chicago on Monday.       Clay Holmes slammed the door on the Orioles on Wednesday night, getting the final five outs to preserve a two-run advantage.

      Advice: Holmes was called upon with two men on and one out in the eighth inning, and he quelled that threat by striking out Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman in succession to end the inning. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff single to Ryan O’Hearn and nothing more.       Zack Wheeler struck out six and yielded one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Angels.

      Advice: Wheeler did what he does best out in Los Angeles, pounding the strike zone and limiting hard contact against an injury-depleted Angels lineup. The 33-year-old fantasy ace threw 67 of 106 pitches for strikes and allowed just five batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. A second-inning solo shot from veteran utility specialist Ehire Adrianza represented the lone tally against him over five frames. He’s allowed just one run over 18 1/3 innings in his last three starts since April 20.       Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Gallen (hamstring) won't start Friday as scheduled in an effort to provide him extra rest, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

      Advice: The right-hander was originally set to start Wednesday, but Tuesday's starter Jordan Montgomery was pushed back a day since the start time was delayed two hours. Gallen apparently isn't having any issues with the hamstring injury that surfaced in his previous start, but Lovullo has still decided to give his ace some extra rest. The earliest Gallen will take the mound is Sunday versus the Padres, but it's possible he gets some additional time, as team off days Thursday and Monday give Arizona some flexibility.
