    • Mitch Keller lasts eight innings in victory
Mitch Keller threw eight innings and held the Mets to two runs in the Pirates’ 8-2 victory Monday.

Advice: Coming off consecutive subpar outings, Keller was terrific today, at least aside from a Brandon Nimmo two-run homer. He allowed nothing but singles otherwise, and he wound up with six strikeouts and no walks. Keller improved to 10-5 with a 3.40 ERA. That’s about what he was at this time last year, when he made his first All-Star team, but at least for now, he’s currently set to stay home next week. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

    • Collects 10th win
Keller (10-5) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks over eight innings against the Mets. He struck out six.

Advice: The 28-year-old cruised to his second straight season with double-digit wins, allowing just one extra-base hit -- a two-run Brandon Nimmo homer in the sixth. Keller has been reliable since June 1, pitching to a 3.09 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 44:8 K:BB over 43.2 innings across seven starts. The Pirates right-hander is scheduled to make his last outing of the first half against the White Sox in Chicago this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:22 pm

    • Carlos Santana not in the lineup on Monday
Carlos Santana is not in the Twins lineup on Monday against the White Sox.

Advice: It’s likely just a routine day off for Santana, but it’s notable because Jose Miranda has shifted to first base, Trevor Larnach is at designated hitter, and Matt Wallner has entered the lineup in left field. Given that Santana is hitting 11-for-44 (.250) over the last two weeks with no home runs and just two RBI, there is a chance for Wallner to carve out more playing time if he can get hot. • Receiving breather Monday
Santana is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Jose Miranda will pick up the start at first base while Santana rests for the series opener in Chicago. Santana had started all three games of the Twins' weekend series with the Astros, going 3-for-11 with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 11:14 am

    • Nightengale: Phillies are interested in Rooker
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Phillies “are keeping a close eye on Oakland A’s left fielder Brent Rooker.”

Advice: The Phillies have not gotten much from their left field spot in 2024, which Brandon Marsh has regularly occupied. On the year, the Phillies rank 26th in OPS among left fielders this season, which Rooker would likely improve. He would also add another big power bat with some swing-and-miss in his game but could make the Phillies lineup even deeper for a playoff run. It would obviously be a big boost to his fantasy value if he were traded to Philadelphia. Rotoworld Today, 8:53 am

    • Getting breather Monday
Martinez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The Mets are concluding their four-game series with the Pirates with a Monday contest that begins at 12:35 p.m. ET, so Martinez looks to be on the bench in what looks to be little more than a veteran's maintenance day. Francisco Alvarez will get a day off behind the dish and will occupy Martinez's usual spot in the lineup at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 7:59 am

    • Breaks homer drought
Garcia went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 10-1 win over Colorado.

Advice: Garcia hit leadoff in each of his previous 11 starts but was bumped down to eighth in the batting order Sunday. Despite the change, Garcia still was productive, hitting his first home run since May 17 with a three-run blast off Tanner Gordon in the first inning. On the year, Garcia is slashing .230/.283/.347 with six home runs and a 15.8 percent strikeout rate. Rotowire.com Today, 12:45 am

    • Keeps raking
Witt went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 10-1 win over Colorado.

Advice: Witt clubbed his 15th home run of the season, taking Ty Blach yard for a three-run homer in the ninth inning. The 24-year-old shortstop was named an AL All-Star reserve and has shown exactly why he's deserving of the honor lately, batting 12-for-23 with three homers and nine runs scored across his last seven games Rotowire.com Today, 12:44 am
    • Goes seven innings strong
Singer (5-5) picked up the win Sunday against Colorado, allowing one run on six hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Singer picked up his first win since May 19 and was able to minimize the impacts of Coors Field, allowing no extra-base hits in seven innings of work. Although Singer's efforts haven't resulted in wins, he's allowed less than three earned runs in seven of his last nine starts and has logged a quality start in three of his last five outings. Through 101.1 innings, Singer owns a 2.93 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, which is scheduled to come during a weekend series in Boston.
