• Daniel Lynch IV allows seven in first
Daniel Lynch IV went four innings while allowing eight runs, but didn’t factor into the decision against the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Generally when you give up a seven-spot in the first, you take home a loss. The score would end up being 8-0 after he left, but Kansas City completed an epic comeback to prevent the L. Still, it was a terrible start for Lynch IV that saw him allow six hits and four walks, and he needed 93 pitches to get those 12 outs. A former top prospect, Lynch IV will get win chances with this Kansas City offense, but the lack of consistent success makes him hard to use in fantasy. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm

  • Fires seven innings
Webb (5-5) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Rangers.

Advice: Webb kept Texas off the board for four frames before the Rangers plated two runs in the fifth inning. Outside of that inning, he allowed just one baserunner. Webb threw seven innings in his last outing but saw his streak of four straight quality starts come to an end. With Friday's quality start in the books, he has 10 in his 14 appearances this season. Webb will carry a 2.92 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be at home against Houston next week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 pm

  • Secures save
Doval struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Doval fired 10 of 15 pitches to quickly retire the Ragners' 3-4-5 hitters in order and finish off the 5-2 win. It was his first appearance since coughing up four runs against the Yankees on June 2. Doval has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances and Friday was his first successful attempt since May 24. Doval lowered his season ERA to 4.07 through 24.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:56 pm
  • White Sox recalled RHP Cannon from Triple-A
White Sox recalled RHP Jonathan Cannon from Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Cannon had a 7.24 ERA in three starts for the White Sox earlier this year. He has a 5.50 ERA in eight starts with Tripe-A this year. Cannon figures to pitch out of the bullpen with Chicago this time around. Rotoworld Today, 12:32 pm
  • Back in big leagues
The White Sox recalled Cannon from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: The right-hander is taking the roster spot vacated by Jake Woodford and also seems likely to take Woodford's spot in the White Sox rotation. Cannon has posted a 7.24 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB in 13.2 innings covering three starts at the major-league level this season. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm
  • Slotting into rotation Friday
Lynch is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Mariners at Kauffman Stadium.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Omaha this past weekend, Lynch was lined up to make his third start of the season with the Royals during the team's series versus the Guardians earlier this week, but he was pushed back in the pitching schedule after Wednesday's game was postponed. He'll end up taking the hill for the opening game of a series with the Mariners and will go head-to-head with Seattle right-hander Bryce Miller. Over his three outings (two starts) with the big club this season, Lynch has delivered a 1.50 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB in 12 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 11:45 am

  • Lands save
Stanek threw a perfect ninth inning Thursday against Oakland to pick up the save.

Advice: Stanek got the call in the ninth with closer Andres Munoz (back) unavailable and corralled his fourth save of the season. While Munoz is expected to return this weekend, Stanek should be the Mariners' go-to closing option in the meantime. The right-hander owns a 3.52 ERA across 23.0 innings, adding three wins and 10 holds in 26 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:41 am
  • Stanek pitches scoreless ninth to get save vs. A’s
Ryne Stanek didn’t allow a hit while picking up a save Thursday against the Athletics.

Advice: Stanek got the save chance with Andres Munoz (back) unavailable Thursday. The right-hander didn’t pick up a strikeout, but he was able to lower his ERA to 3.52 while procuring his fourth save of the season. If Munoz can’t go over the weekend against the Royals, Stanek could get more chances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:14 pm
  • Hogan Harris to start Friday against Blue Jays
Hogan Harris will start on Friday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It was originally supposed to Luis Medina drawing the starting assignment for Friday’s series opener, but he’ll get an extra day of rest with Hogan bumping up to take the ball instead. There isn’t a ton of fantasy value to be extracted here, but both Harris and Medina have been pitching well of late, and Toronto’s lineup continues to struggle. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:59 pm
