• Ketel Marte to lead off for NL All-Star squad
Ketel Marte will lead off for Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo in the NL All-Star lineup.

Advice: It’s a defensible choice, though Shohei Ohtani is right there, and Trea Turner and Christian Walker also might have been better options. Marte will be followed by Ohtani, Turner, Bryce Harper, William Contreras, Yelich, Alex Bohm, Teoscar Hernández and Jurickson Profar. Rotoworld Today, 1:15 pm

  • Collects rare two-inning save
Jansen tossed two innings Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk to pick up the save against the Royals. He struck out three.

Advice: Jansen struck out the side in the eighth, then battled through the ninth, allowing a run but inducing a game-ending groundout with the tying run on second. While he had accomplished the feat previously in the postseason, it was the first regular-season two-inning save of Jansen's 15-year career. The 36-year-old reliever was not named to the American League All-Star roster, but he has put together another All-Star-caliber campaign with 19 saves, a 2.16 ERA, a 1.08 WHIP and 38 strikeouts over 33.1 innings. • Notches four-out save
Scott allowed two walks over 1.1 scoreless innings and earned a save against the Reds on Sunday. He struck out two batters.

Advice: Scott faced a two-on, two-out situation in the ninth inning but struck out Edwin Rios to close out the 3-2 win. He's riding a 12.1-inning scoreless streak while converting six straight save chances. He's now 14 for 16 in save opportunities with a stellar 1.34 ERA through 39 appearances. • Drives in five Sunday
Rooker went 2-for-2 with a pair of two-run home runs, an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk in an 18-3 win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: Rooker ignited the Athletics' eight-homer barrage on the afternoon with the first of his two massive round trippers, slugging a 450-foot shot to center with JJ Bleday aboard in the fourth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit. He'd one-up himself just two frames later, clearing the center-field wall at a distance of 452 feet to plate Bleday once again. The All-Star snub has been one of baseball's most fearsome hitters since the calendar flipped to July, hitting .488 (20-for-41) with three doubles, six home runs, 15 RBI, seven walks, three stolen bases and 15 runs. • Homers in four-hit game
Adames went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk, two additional RBI and two total runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Adames has gone 9-for-21 (.429) with nine RBI over his last five games. The shortstop had his fingerprints all over this game, which saw him open the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning. He also wrapped up the offense with his eighth-inning homer. For the season, Adames is slashing .246/.330/.430 with 15 homers, 67 RBI, 52 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and 23 doubles across 97 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 pm

  • Ketel Marte’s grand slam not enough to beat Jays
Ketel Marte blasted a grand slam homer on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Diamondbacks to victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Marte got the Diamondbacks’ offense started with a monstrous 443-foot (109.8 mph EV) grand slam as part of a seven-/run uprising off of Yusei Kikuchi in the fifth inning. He also had a pair of singles in the ballgame, finishing the day 3-for-5. The All-Star second baseman finishes the first half hitting .292/.362/.515 with 19 homers, 57 RBI and six stolen bases. • Kenley Jansen goes two innings for 19th save
Kenley Jansen got a two-inning save, allowing one run in the process, against the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Jansen struck out the side against the top of the order in the eighth before running into some trouble in the ninth. Still, he held on for his 19th save. The run was the first he’d allowed since June 12. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:54 pm
  • Willy Adames clobbers homer, four hits in win
Willy Adames went 4-for-4 with a home run, double, walk, two runs scored, and four RBI in a 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: This was a huge game for Adames who was never retired and on base five times as the Brewers avoided a sweep heading into the break. This mammoth game was a welcome sight as Adames had been hitting .214 over his last 30 games. His 67 RBI are fourth most in the National League. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:50 pm

  • Scott snags 14th save in win over Mets
Tanner Scott escaped a ninth-inning jam to secure a 3-2 win over the Reds on Sunday and pick up his 14th save.

Advice: Scott was called on to face Spencer Steer with two outs in the eighth inning and a runner on first, and he got Steer to foul out. He then walked the first batter of the ninth inning and after a groundout moved the runner to second base, intentionally walked another batter before getting Edwin Rias swinging to end the game. Command continues to be a concern for Scott, but he has a 1.34 ERA on the season and figures to be a much-discussed name at the trade deadline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:55 pm
