• Mashes sixth homer
Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The 34-year-old outfielder capped a seven-run eruption for the Blue Jays in the third inning when he drove a Brayan Bello slider into the right-center field bullpen at Fenway Park. Springer is having the worst season of his career by a wide margin -- Tuesday's long ball snapped a 17-game homer drought, and it highlighted his first multi-hit performance since June 3. Through 300 plate appearances in 2024, Springer has managed a .196/.283/.298 slash line with six homers, eight steals, 17 RBI and 32 runs. Rotowire.com Today, 5:55 am
  • Three-game hitting streak
Jimenez went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Jimenez started in his third consecutive game since being activated from the injured list Sunday, and he has one hit in each contest. His performance Tuesday marked his first extra-base hit in that span, and he also has one RBI and one run scored. Jimenez has hit either third or fourth in every game since his return. • George Springer finds power stroke in win
George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out. • Daulton Varsho remains out Tuesday with back issue
Daulton Varsho (back) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Varsho has been held out of Toronto’s lineup for three consecutive games due to back tightness, but appears to be available off the bench for now. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the Blue Jays clearly don’t want to push it and potentially make things worse. He’s day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:29 pm

  • On bench again
Varsho (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Varsho will be out of the starting nine for the third straight game after tweaking his back Saturday. Kevin Kiermaier will make another start in center field and bat ninth Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm

  • Daulton Varsho (back) could come off bench Monday
Daulton Varsho, who missed Sunday’s game with back tightness, is likely to be available off the bench Monday.

Advice: Varsho worked out on the field today, but the Blue Jays decided to hold him out initially, at least. They have Davis Schneider in left and Kevin Kiermaier in center tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 2:23 pm

  • Eloy Jiménez in lineup despite hamstring soreness
Eloy Jiménez is in the starting lineup as a DH on Monday after experiencing hamstring soreness in his return Sunday.

Advice: It’ll be a small miracle if Jiménez doesn’t wind up aggravating the hamstring bad enough to go back on the injured list, but we’ll see. He’s batting cleanup tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 2:14 pm
  • Remains out of lineup
Varsho (back) is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.

Advice: Varsho tweaked his back on a swing in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians and has now been out of the lineup for two straight contests. He's available off the bench, per Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic, seemingly giving him a good chance to return to the lineup Tuesday. Kevin Kiermaier will handle center field Monday while Varsho takes a seat. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:27 pm

  • Will be in Monday's lineup
Jimenez (hamstring) will be in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: The White Sox haven't yet released their lineup for the series opener, but Jimenez has evidently received the green light to make a second consecutive start. Jimenez was noticeably gimpy while running the bases in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers in his first game back from a stint on the injured list due to a left hamstring strain. The apparent aggravation of the hamstring injury won't cause him to miss any starts, at least not yet. Certainly, Jimenez will remain a major injury risk as he attempts to play through some discomfort. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:11 am
