• Patrick Sandoval gives up four runs in loss Sunday
Patrick Sandoval wasn’t at his best in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Royals, giving up four runs on 11 hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 27-year-old southpaw struck out three batters on the day and didn’t issue a base on balls. All of the damage done against him came in the fourth inning on run-scoring singles by Freddy Fermin and Hunter Renfroe and a successful sacrifice by Michael Massey. Sandoval got 12 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the day — seven on his changeup — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his troublesome 5.00 ERA and 1.53 WHIP when he takes on the Rangers in Arlington on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

  • Miles Mikolas gives up three runs in victory
Miles Mikolas won after allowing three runs in six innings Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Mikolas came into this game without having issued a free pass in four starts, but he walked three today. On the other hand, he went without allowing a homer after giving up at least one in each of those four aforementioned outings. He’s 3-5 with a 6.19 ERA. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

  • Ryan Helsley perfect in earning 12th save
Ryan Helsley notched his 12th save with a perfect ninth against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: Helsey struck out two. He’s been credited with a win or a save in 87.5% of the Cardinals’ 16 victories this season. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm
  • Bryse Wilson walks five in sloppy outing
Bryse Wilson yielded two runs in four-plus innings Sunday in a no-decision versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Wilson walked five and allowed five hits, so he was lucky to get out of this one with his ERA intact. He’s at 2.65 in five starts and six relief appearances this season. Next up for him will be a start in Houston next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

  • Dean Kremer strikes out 10 in loss
Dean Kremer allowed six runs (three earned) on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Advice: Kremer was hurt by two separate errors, including one by Roman Urias on a potential inning-ending double play ball in the fifth inning with Arizona up just 1-0. With two outs in the sixth inning, he also allowed a home run to Jake McCarthy and then a walk to Kevin Newman, who came around to score against the Orioles bullpen. All told, it was a much better performance by Kremer than the statline indicates and his 28 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW were pretty strong on the day. He’s a solid streamer next week against the Mariners. Rotoworld Today, 3:01 pm

  • Bailey Falter solid enough in no-decision vs Cubs
Bailey Falter allowed two runs on five hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: He struck out one and walked two on the day while posting an unimpressive 13 percent whiff rate and 21 percent CSW. That’s par for the course for Falter who doesn’t really have any pitch that stands out but can keep hitters off balance. That’s part of the reason he has a 4.15 ERA on the season but remains an anxiety-inducing pitcher to stream. He’s not a recommended play next week in a match against the Cubs. • Kyle Hendricks returns from IL with solid start
Kyle Hendricks allowed one run on two hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Pirates.

Advice: Hendricks came off the IL and into a soft matchup and didn’t disappoint. He was, however, inconsistent with his command, starting off just nine of the 20 hitters he faced with a first-pitch strike and posting just a 46 percent zone rate overall, which is well below his normal averages. His changeup did miss tons of bats and carried him in this one, but he has a 10.04 ERA on the season and is a risky stream even against these same Pirates next week. Rotoworld Today, 2:26 pm

  • Logan Allen combines on shutout of White Sox
Logan Allen scattered six hits over six innings and combined with three relievers on the Guardians’ 7-0 shutout of the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Allen struck out three and walked one. Most likely, he would have given up a few runs if he had faced a major league offense today, but he’ll take it; he had surrendered 13 earned runs over 12 2/3 innings in going 0-2 in his previous three starts. He’s now 4-2 with 5.56 ERA overall. Rotoworld Today, 2:12 pm

  • Michael Soroka gives up five runs, falls to 0-5
Michael Soroka was tagged for five runs — four earned — in 5 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Soroka dropped to 0-5 with a 6.39 ERA. The White Sox are 1-8 when he pitches, and oddly enough, the lone win came in his worst performance to date (4 ER in 3 2/3 IP on Apr. 9). Unfortunately, Soroka’s better outings still haven’t been very good. He’s had one quality start, and his K/BB stands at 24/24 after he matched his season high with four strikeouts today. The White Sox have nothing to lose by remaining patient, but Soroka is going to need to do something encouraging soon. While he is out of options, odds are that he’d clear waivers if the team tried to send him down. Rotoworld Today, 2:12 pm
