The 30-year-old former first-rounder has hit just .253 even with those four hits, and what was once an intriguing fantasy prospect is now someone who can be ignored on waivers. It’s a concerning development, especially for a hitter that has battled injuries over the last few years. There should be a further update on Polanco before Tuesday’s game against Kansas City.       Advice: The Cardinals trailed 4-0 entering the seventh inning. Arenado got St. Louis on the board with a solo shot in that frame. Nine more runs would score for the Cardinals.       Advice: O'Neill's first-inning three-run blast provided all the scoring for the Red Sox on Monday. It was the first homer since April 27 for the slumping O'Neill, who hit .333 with nine homers over his first 19 games, but had gone just 7-for-44 (.159) with six walks and 22 strikeouts over the most recent 12 game homer-less stretch prior to Monday. He was tagged with 10 runs in his previous two starts but bounced back with his second scoreless start of the year. Bibee retired the first 11 batters Monday before tailing off a bit near the end of his start, including leaving the game after loading the bases in the sixth inning.       Tanner Bibee threw 5 1/3 innings of shutout ball in a no-decision in the Guardians’ 7-0 victory over the Rangers on Monday.

      Advice: Bibee allowed three hits, two walks and struck out four in the contest. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt removed Bibee from the game with the bases loaded in the sixth inning.       Advice: Diaz looked extremely unsettled Monday night, issuing his first free passes since April 20, ending a streak of eight walk-free innings. Even more indicative of his unsteady control, the Mets closer allowed the tying run to score by beaning Alec Bohm with the bases loaded.
