Muncy isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: With left-hander Brent Suter set to open Thursday's game for the Reds, Muncy will retreat to the bench. While he sits, Enrique Hernandez will man the hot corner and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm

    • Heading to bench Thursday
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Cabrera has been the Yankees' preferred option at third base all season, but he's started to cede more work of late to Jon Berti, who will occupy the hot corner for the fourth time in six games Thursday. Given that he holds a 129-point advantage in OPS over Berti for the season, Cabrera should still be the favored option more often than not, but both will see their opportunities take a hit once DJ LeMahieu (foot) eventually returns from the injured list to make his 2024 debut. • Resting Thursday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Jeffers will get some maintenance in Thursday's day game after he caught all nine innings of the Twins' 4-0 loss Wednesday night. Christian Vazquez will check in for Jeffers behind the dish. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 am

    • Another shutout win
Webb (4-4) earned the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three hits and three walks over six shutout innings while striking out five.

Advice: Webb allowed three of the first four batters to reach base in the opening frame but managed to work his way out of the jam, getting two of the three outs by way of strikeout. The right-hander would allow just two walks and two singles from that point on en route to earning his fourth win of the season, snapping a three-game losing skid. Webb has now hurled six or more shutout innings in three of his last six starts, posting a 30:12 K:BB over that stretch. He's also logged quality starts in seven of his 10 outings this season. • Homer, two hits in win
Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over St. Louis.

Advice: Ward jumped on a four-seamer from Nick Robertson in the bottom of the seventh and sent it into the stands in left field for a leadoff home run, giving the outfielder his first long ball this month and his eighth overall on the season. Ward also recorded a single in the contest, marking his fourth multi-hit game in May, during which he's now batting .261 with three RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:34 am

    • Blanks Twins for six innings
Stroman (3-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Twins, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out two over six shutout innings.

Advice: This was Stroman's second scoreless start of the season, as well as his third quality start. He entered Wednesday with nine runs allowed over his previous 15 innings across a three-start winless skid. The right-hander trimmed his ERA to 3.33 with a 1.42 WHIP and 42:25 K:BB over 48.2 innings through nine starts this season. Stroman's 4.6 BB/9 remains a concern -- it's by far the worst of his career, though his 7.8 K/9 is in line with his career norms. Stroman is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mariners. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:25 pm
    • Swats second homer
Martinez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Martinez went deep in the eighth inning, launching a 403-foot solo shot off Spencer Turnbull. It was the veteran slugger's second long ball of the campaign, both of which have come over his past five games. Martinez is batting .350 (7-for-20) with four RBI over that stretch. • Logan Webb shuts down Dodgers over six in win
Logan Webb tossed sixth scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Webb worked around some trouble to start the game, loading the bases with one out in the first inning. He struck out a batter for the second out and escaped the jam with a line out to right field. Webb scattered two walks and two hits over five more scoreless frames, striking out five on the day. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.03 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 47/17 K/BB ratio across 59 1/3 innings into a start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh next Wednesday. • Marcus Stroman twirls six scoreless innings
Marcus Stroman held the Twins scoreless across six innings on Wednesday earning the win. He allowed two hits, walked three, and struck out two.

Advice: Stroman wasn’t particularly sharp in this one with just two strikeouts and three walks. The Twins also had 10 hard hit balls, seven of which were hit in the air, but they couldn’t sustain any type of rally. But that’s what happens when the Yankees play the Twins, with a 119-43 record in their last 162 games against Minnesota. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:22 pm
