      Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run, a sacrifice, two runs scored and two RBI against the Royals on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Carpenter’s sixth of the season. He’s hitting .285 with an .893 OPS with the majority of his at-bats coming against right-handed pitching. It can certainly be frustrating for fantasy managers when Carpenter is on the bench against left-handed starts or gets pinch-hit for late in games. He was 16-for-68 (.235) against left-handed pitchers in 2023, though, so it’s hard to argue the logic even on nights when it’s readily apparent that Carpenter is the Tigers’ best offensive weapon.

    • Pablo López crushed for seven runs Monday in loss
      Pablo López was torched for a season-high seven runs over five innings on Monday in a loss to the Nationals.

      Advice: López coughed up early homers to Luis García Jr. and Jesse Winker before things came completely unraveled in the fifth inning when he surrendered run-scoring singles to Jacob Young, Joey Meneses and Garcia. He struck out five and only handed out one free pass. He’ll bring an inflated 4.72 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 63/9 K/BB ratio across 55 1/3 innings (10 starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Rangers. Rotoworld Today, 6:45 pm

      Lopez (4-3) took the loss Monday against Washington, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Lopez was done in by the longball, yielding two homers in a game for the second time this season. The Minnesota right-hander entered 2024 with a career 1.1 HR/9 and now sports a 1.5 HR/9 in 55.1 innings this season. Lopez's ERA sits at 4.72, almost a full tick higher than his career 3.86 entering the season. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next start against Texas at home this weekend.       José Berríos defeated the White Sox by allowing three runs in six innings on Monday.

      Advice: Three things worked in favor of Berríos on a day in which he was lacking his best stuff: he was facing the White Sox, he had CB Bucknor working his own special brand of magic behind the plate and he was facing the White Sox.       Berrios (5-3) earned the win Monday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: With a 100-pitch effort, Berrios collected his first win since April 20 and second consecutive quality start. The Blue Jays right-hander has posted an impressive eight quality starts in 10 total games started. Berrios owns a 2.98 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 48:18 K:BB in 60.1 innings this season.       Bibee allowed a run on four hits and a walk over seven innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out eight during the win over the Twins.

      Advice: Outside of a Jose Miranda solo shot in the third inning, Bibee was nearly untouchable Sunday. Bibee matched his season best with seven innings of work, and it was just his second quality start of the year. He's registered a strong 3.23 ERA over his last seven starts, dropping his season ERA to 3.93 through 52.2 frames. Bibee's next outing is currently projected to be a road matchup with the Angels.
