    • Logs third steal
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Gorman entered Sunday just 1-for-28 over his last seven games, though the slump hasn't cost him playing time. The second baseman picked up a steal after his second-inning single, giving him three thefts on four attempts this year. For the season, Gorman is slashing .208/.287/.442 with 15 home runs, 33 RBI, 30 runs scored and eight doubles over 64 contests. He's also striking out at a 35.5 percent rate, and until he corrects that issue, he's likely to carry a low batting average. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

    • Three more hits in win
Rafaela went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Rafaela has multiple hits in four of the last five games, including three hits in each of the last two contests. The steal was his first since June 1, though he's up to nine thefts on 14 attempts this year. The 23-year-old is up to a .238/.264/.383 slash line through 263 plate appearances this season, though his performance in June has seen him trend upward in everything but power. • Three hits, three RBI
Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a two-RBI single, an RBI groundout and a run scored during Sunday's 12-5 loss to Arizona.

Advice: Vaughn participated in four of the White Sox's five runs, most of which came during the ninth inning when Vaughn plated Tommy Pham and Martin Maldonado with a single before coming around to score himself. On the year, Vaughn is slashing .234/.289/.391, each of which would be career-lows. However, he's been hot during June, batting .364 with five homers, 12 RBI and 12 runs. • Andrew Vaughn plates three runs in loss to D’Backs
Andrew Vaughn went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs on Sunday afternoon in a lopsided loss to the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: Vaughn got the White Sox on the board with an RBI groundout in the third inning that made it a 3-1 ballgame. He then tacked on a two-run single in the ninth that pulled the White Sox to within eight runs at 12-4. With his three-hit attack, the 26-year-old slugger is now slashing .234/.289/.391 to go along with nine homers, 31 RBI and one stolen base on the season. Rotoworld Today, 5:12 pm

    • Stays hot with homer

Advice: Thomas is red-hot, hitting a home run for the third consecutive game and extending his hitting streak to 10 games. During the streak, the 28-year-old is batting .351 with four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and one stolen base. Rotowire.com Today, 4:59 pm

    • Looks set for 2024 debut this week
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy confirmed Sunday that Scherzer (back/thumb) will return from the 60-day injured list during the upcoming week as long as he experiences no issues bouncing back from his rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock this past Saturday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The Rangers will likely officially sign off on Scherzer making his 2024 debut once he throws a bullpen session in front of the coaching and training staffs early in the week, but all signs point to the right-hander being ready to slot back into the rotation with a limited workload restriction, if he has one at all. In his latest rehab outing with Round Rock on Saturday, Scherzer struck out eight while throwing 79 pitches over 4.2 innings and allowing three earned runs on four hits and two walks. Since he had been pitching on five days' rest during his time with Round Rock, Scherzer appears likely to start for the Rangers either Friday or Saturday versus the Royals. • Max Scherzer expected to join Rangers’ rotation
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters on Sunday that as long as Max Scherzer bounces back alright following his minor league rehab start on Saturday, he’ll join the Rangers’ rotation and make his 2024 regular season debut during the upcoming week.

Advice: Scherzer threw 79 pitches (55 strikes) over 4 2/3 innings in his final minor league tune-up at Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday — giving up three runs on four hits and a pair of walks while punching out eight batters. He should slot into the Rangers’ rotation at some point during their weekend series against the Royals. Rotoworld Today, 2:49 pm

    • William Contreras being evaluated for concussion
Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy said after Sunday’s victory over the Reds that William Contreras is being evaluated for a possible concussion.

Advice: Contreras took a glancing blow off of his head or neck on the final play of the game as Blake Perkins nailed the potential tying run at the plate to end the ballgame. The 26-year-old backstop remained on the ground for a few minutes afterwards, but ultimately was able to get up under his own power and was able to celebrate with his teammates. It doesn’t sound like anything serious, but fantasy managers may want to have an alternative option on hand for next week just to be on the safe side. Rotoworld Today, 2:43 pm

    • Being evaluated for concussion
Contreras is being evaluated for a concussion following Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Contreras took a shot to the head when he collided with Stuart Fairchild at home plate, applying the tag for the final out of the contest. The catcher was slow to get up, and he'll now undergo some additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. The Brewers will start a three-game series on the road against the Angels on Monday. If Contreras is forced to miss any action, Gary Sanchez would likely take over behind the plate.
