    • James McArthur blows save in ninth, loses in 10th
James McArthur took a blown save and a loss after allowing two runs — one earned — between the ninth and 10th innings Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur blew the save by giving up a game-tying homer to Jonah Heim in the ninth. In spite of that, the Royals stuck with him in the 10th. He allowed only the automatic runner to score, but the Royals couldn’t let him off the hook from there. It’s not the kind of outing that will reflect particularly badly on him. He’s still 7-for-9 saving games, and the loss was his first. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:57 pm
    • Issues six walks
Severino didn't factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits with six walks across five innings against the Rays. He struck out six.

Advice: Despite yielding just four hits, Severino gave up a season-high four earned runs Sunday. His struggles stemmed from a lack of command, as he doled out out a career-high six walks, with two of those batters coming around to score. Still, Severino's ERA sits at 2.93 through 40 innings. He's lined up for a start Saturday against Atlanta, which is a tough matchup for a bounce-back. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:53 pm

    • Blown save, loss versus Texas
McArthur (1-1) blew a save and picked up the loss after he pitched two innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning defeat to the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur entered the game with the Royals up 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning and gave up a game-tying solo home run to Jonah Heim with one out in the inning. He later returned for the top of the 10th frame, allowing the inherited runner to score on an RBI single by Nathaniel Lowe. The blown save was McArthur's second in nine total save opportunities this season, and he currently possesses a 2.87 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in 13 appearances this season. • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. The result of that exam is not yet known, so it’s hard to speculate just how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Luis Severino walks career-high six versus Rays
Luis Severino was charged with four runs in five innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Rays.

Advice: Severino’s velocity was down a little today and he walked a career-high six batters, which is a little scary. He had never even walked five in a start previously. He’s not one of the Mets pitchers that typically has issues with the stolen base — he had allowed just one in his first six starts this season — but the Rays swiped three bases while he was in the game and seven in eight tries overall today. It’s the most runs he’s allowed since he was roughed up in his Mets debut on March 30. He’ll get the Braves next, so sitting him in mixed leagues seems like a good idea. • Goes deep in win
Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Jimenez entered Sunday's matchup without a home run in his last six contests, but he was able to snap that streak with a solo shot, launching his fourth homer of the year in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Giovanny Gallegos. The long ball gave the team a 2-1 lead, and the right-hander has now recorded at least one hit in seven of his last nine games, batting .270 with two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored over that stretch. • Could be back by next weekend
Astros GM Dana Brown said Sunday that the plan is to have Javier (neck) "back by at least the Detroit series" that begins Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 68 pitches during his rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks. The Astros have already listed their probable starters for the three-game set against the Yankees this week, which sets up Javier to potentially pitch next weekend versus the Tigers. • Eloy Jiménez crushes solo homer in win on Sunday
Eloy Jiménez belted a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning on Sunday, helping to power the White Sox to victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugger led off the seventh inning with his 411-foot (105.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Giovanny Gallegos — giving the White Sox a 2-1 advantage. That would be his lone hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. For the season, Jiménez is now hitting .231/.291/.397 with four homers and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:17 pm

    • Move to IL coming
Kwan (hamstring) will be placed on the injured list Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old left Saturday's game due to left hamstring tightness and will now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. The results of Kwan's MRI aren't yet known, so it's unclear exactly how long he'll be sidelined. Prospect Kyle Manzardo will be joining the Guardians for his first taste of the big leagues in Kwan's absence. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:39 pm
