• Day off Wednesday
Cronenworth is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Philadelphia.

Advice: Cronenworth will get his first day off in more than a month as the Padres and Phillies conclude their series with a day game after a night game. Tyler Wade will fill in at second base while Cronenworth gets some rest. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 am

  • Homer, stolen base in win
Moore went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two additional runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Moore extended Seattle's lead to 7-1 with a 402-foot blast off Cade Smith in the sixth inning, his seventh long ball of the year and first since May 21. The 31-year-old Moore had been slumping coming into Tuesday's contest, going 5-for-51 in his previous 16 games. Overall, he's slashing .210/.323/.409 with 23 RBI, 27 runs scored and 12 stolen bases across 60 games in a utility role this season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 am

  • Launches 18th homer
Santander went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The 29-year-old spoiled a combined shutout bid for New York when he took Clay Holmes deep in the top of the ninth inning. Santander has slugged four homers in the last four games, continuing a massive June that has seen him slash .292/.347/.738 with nine of his 18 long balls on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:07 am
  • Shifting rehab to Single-A
Votto (ankle) is scheduled to start at first base and bat second in a rehab game with Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday.

Advice: Votto will be move his rehab assignment one rung up on the minor-league ladder after he made a pair of starts in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Saturday and Tuesday, going 0-for-4 with a walk between those contests. The veteran first baseman will likely stick around with Dunedin for at least a few contests to stockpile at-bats as he looks to regain form at the plate after being shut down since mid-March with a right ankle sprain. Votto currently resides on Triple-A Buffalo's 7-day injured list and will eventually rejoin the organization's top affiliate once the Blue Jays' brass is convinced he's ready for the assignment. • Exiting starting nine Wednesday
Malloy is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Malloy will take a seat for the series finale after he started the first two games in Atlanta while going 0-for-6 with a walk and four strikeouts. Mark Canha played first base in Tuesday's game but will serve as the Tigers' designated hitter Wednesday while Malloy hits the bench. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am
  • Getting day off
Vierling is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Atlanta, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Vierling had made 13 consecutive starts and the Tigers are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, so the 27-year-old is presumably just getting some routine maintenance. With Vierling on the bench, the Tigers will open up a spot in the starting outfield for Akil Baddoo, who will man left and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 6:51 am

  • Clubs homer No. 10
Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The 25-year-old's shot off Roddery Munoz in the fourth inning was the third of three long balls by the Cardinals on the night, but the offense managed only one more run after that. Burleson is up to 10 homers on the season, and five of them have come in June. Despite the power surge, however, he's slashing just .254/.286/.507 in 70 plate appearances this month, and has produced just seven RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:30 am

  • Santander hits 18th homer as O’s fall to Yanks
Anthony Santander went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Santander broke up a shutout in the ninth inning when he homered off Clay Holmes, who was brought on in a non-save situation. After getting off to a slow start, Santander has heated up in a big way as of late. The veteran right fielder is slashing .292/.347/.738 in the month of June with nine home runs and 16 RBI. • Battling tendinitis
Manager David Bell said Candelario was removed from Tuesday's win over the Pirates due to tendinitis, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Candelario appeared to be in a bit of pain while running the bases during Tuesday's game, eventually leading to his removal during the eighth inning. However, the Reds' skipper noted that the 30-year-old infielder is not at risk of spending time on the injured list, and he seemed confident that the injury will go away relatively quickly. Should Candelario have to miss any games, Santiago Espinal figures to be the next man up to start at third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:09 pm
