• Won't start against lefty
Lux is not included in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Lux will begin the matchup from the dugout as the Diamondbacks start their third straight left in Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Wednesday. Miguel Rojas will get his second consecutive start at second base and bat seventh. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Out against lefty
Outman isn't in the lineup for the Dodgers for Tuesday's matchup against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The lefty batter will begin the game on the bench for the third straight time as the Dodgers take on lefty pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The outfield will comprise of Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages and Chris Taylor as Outman watches the start from the dugout. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

  • Shohei Ohtani gets breather on Wednesday
Shohei Ohtani is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s a rare and well-deserved day off for the superstar slugger. Will Smith will function as the Dodgers designated hitter on Wednesday while Austin Barnes does the catching against Jordan Montgomery and the D’Backs. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

  • Receiving first day off
Ohtani is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: It hasn't been reported that Ohtani is dealing with any type of injury, so he's presumably just receiving his first rest day of the season. Ohtani still has a 1.017 OPS on the campaign but has gone 5-for-26 over the past six games, and Thursday's team off day will provide a chance for two straight days to reset. Will Smith will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Austin Barnes starts behind the plate. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

  • Michael Massey homers, knocks in four for Royals
Michael Massey had a three-run homer and an RBI groundout Wednesday as the Royals topped the Blue Jays 6-1.

Advice: Massey’s 357-foot homer off Nate Pearson put the game away in the eighth. The second baseman also homered Tuesday. He was held out of the starting lineup three times in his first 10 games back from a season-opening IL stint due to back tightness, including once against a righty, but as long as he keeps hitting, he should hold off Adam Frazier and be a fixture against righties. He’ll still likely do some sitting versus lefties. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
  • Addison Barger goes 0-for-3 against Royals
Addison Barger went 0-for-3 on Wednesday, leaving him 1-for-18 to start his career.

Advice: Two strikeouts and a weak grounder today. Barger has been on base just once in five games, collecting a lone single, and he’s struck out six times. He’ll need to pick it up if he’s going to survive Kevin Kiermaier’s eventual return. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Byron Buxton (knee) will undergo MRI
Byron Buxton will undergo an MRI exam on his injured right knee after leaving Wednesday’s game against the White Sox.

Advice: Buxton pulled up on a stolen base attempt during the game and had to be helped off the field. It looks likely that the oft-injured outfielder is heading to the injured list once again, but the Twins will wait and see what the imaging shows before addressing the situation publicly. • Back in action Wednesday
Rodriguez (hand) will start in center field and will bat leadoff Wednesday for Double-A Wichita in its matchup with Northwest Arkansas.

Advice: Rodriguez is back in action after he hadn't played since April 24 due to the hand injury he sustained while sliding into second base on a stolen-base attempt in a game against San Antonio. The 21-year-old outfielder had gotten off to a strong start to the season for Wichita before suffering the injury, slashing .294/.507/.686 with four home runs and nine stolen bases in 73 plate appearances. • Willi Castro goes 3-for-5, steals base
Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while. He’s an option for teams in need of steals. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago
