    • Absent from lineup
McKinstry is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: He and Ryan Kreidler have split the starts at shortstop down the middle, with both getting four apiece since Javier Baez (back) went on the injured list. McKinstry has now been on the bench for all three contests versus lefties, as Atlanta is starting southpaw Max Fried on Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:09 pm

    • Hitting bench in Turner's return
Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Advice: After Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list May 4, Sosa took over as the Phillies' primary shortstop and slashed an impressive .275/.336/.505 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 22 runs and 17 RBI in 32 games while the two-time All-Star was sidelined. Turner will make his return from the IL on Monday and will immediately step back into his everyday role at shortstop, leaving Sosa without a regular spot in the lineup. Manager Rob Thomson said earlier this month that Sosa could get some reps in the outfield upon Turner's return, but David Dahl, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will form the Phillies' outfield trio from left to right Monday. With no path to steady playing time at the moment, Sosa looks to be a drop candidate outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm

    • Back on bench against righty
Rivera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rivera will hit the bench after starting in all three games of the Marlins' weekend series in Washington, going 1-for-9 with a double and run scored across those contests. The Nationals brought left-handed starters to the hill for each of those games, so Rivera still looks to be a short-side platoon player for Marlins rather than someone who's pushing for an everyday role. • Plays defense in second rehab game
Polanco (hamstring) started at second base in High-A Everett's win over Eugene on Sunday and went 0-for-1 with two walks before being replaced defensively in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Advice: Polanco was able to take another step with his time on the field, even if it was relatively brief. The veteran has reached safely in each of his first two rehab games, and he's now poised to shift his assignment to Triple-A Tacoma when the Rainiers resume play Tuesday. • Swats third homer
Clement went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Advice: The utility player got the start at third base and hit ninth, and Clement opened the scoring for the Jays in the second inning by taking Ben Lively deep. Clement has multiple hits in three straight starts with three doubles and Sunday's long ball, and he could be slugging his way into more playing time. On the season, the 28-year-old is slashing .264/.286/.421 with three homers, three steals, 11 RBI and 17 runs in 128 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:25 am

    • Swipes first big-league bag
Barger went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, Barger stole the first bag of his MLB career after he led off the second inning with a single. The 24-year-old has started two straight games since his latest promotion, one in right and one at third base, and he's gone 3-for-7 with two RBI and a 1:2 BB:K. Barger could be in line for consistent playing time against right-handed pitching as the Jays look for an offensive spark. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 am

    • On base three times in loss
Davis went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run during a loss to the Twins in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday.

Advice: Davis drew an increasingly rare start at third base and delivered his first multi-hit effort since May 24. The veteran has been displaced from the starting nine more often than not since late May, logging a total of just 17 plate appearances across six games since the calendar flipped to June. Davis is capable of playing both corner infield spots in addition to serving as the designated hitter, but younger options Tyler Soderstrom, Abraham Toro and Brent Rooker are currently the preferred options at those respective positions. • Productive in Sunday's win
Triolo went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Triolo drew his fourth straight start, though two of those came with Oneil Cruz briefly sidelined. He went only 3-for-14 with seven strikeouts in that span, and he's likely to return to a reserve role so long as Cruz, Nick Gonzales and Ke'Bryan Hayes remain healthy. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:43 am

    • Two doubles in nightcap
Castro went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Castro went 0-for-3 with a walk in the day game, but he redeemed himself with a strong showing in the nightcap. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last five contests. The 27-year-old is up to a .261/.350/.416 slash line with five home runs, eight stolen bases, 18 RBI, 40 runs scored, 15 doubles and four triples over 71 games this season. Between his speed and his defensive versatility, Castro can provide some quality depth for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:02 pm
