    • Andrew Benintendi reaches three times in loss
Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-2 with a walk in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: He also scored a run. One of Benintendi’s hits was a double, and it sadly improves his slash to .204/.245/.296 as he’s been one of the worst hitters over the first two and a half months of the season. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago
    • Joc Pederson homers again in rout of White Sox
Joc Pederson went 2-for-4 with a homer, stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-1 blowout win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Pederson’s homer is the ninth of the year, and the steal is the fourth for the 32-year-old in 2024. The veteran outfielder also drove in a run on a fielder’s choice. Pederson has been excellent as of late, and he’s now homered in back-to-back games. If the Diamondbacks fall out of this, he’s a strong candidate to be dealt before the deadline. • Clubs ninth homer
McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 win over Colorado.

Advice: McCutchen crushed a mammoth 448-foot solo homer of Ryan Feltner in the sixth inning to give the Pirates a lead they never relinquished. The 37-year-old veteran later tallied another run to his register when a Bryan Reynolds single drove him home in the eighth. McCutchen has been a steady producer over the last 30 days, hitting .297 (28-for-94) with five homers, 19 runs scored and 12 RBI in 22 games. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
    • Cracks three extra-base hits
Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, two doubles and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Blackmon collected two doubles off bulk reliever Luis Oritz before capping his evening with a 412-foot solo homer against David Bednar in the ninth. The 37-year-old veteran has shown signs of life in June, as he's hitting .347 (17-for-49) over 12 games this month. Overall, Blackmon sports a .266/.335/.411 slash line with three homers, five steals, 32 runs scored and 26 RBI. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Expected to be fine
Cave received four stitches after being hit in the head by a line drive during pregame batting practice Friday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Although Cave had to be carted off the field following the incident, he said after Friday's game that he felt fine and that there isn't any reason to suspect he might have suffered a concussion. It's possible the Rockies keep the 31-year-old outfielder sidelined for another game or two just to be safe, but a trip to the injured list doesn't seem likely. Cave has slashed .238/.302/.305 with seven RBI through 116 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

    • Byron Buxton smacks RBI triple in win on Friday
Bryon Buxton went 1-for-4 and smacked an RBI triple on Friday night, helping to lead the Twins past the Athletics in extra innings.

Advice: Buxton got the Twins on the board with his run-scoring triple off of Mitch Spence in the second inning, trimming their deficit to three runs at 4-1. That would be his only hit on the evening. He has been swinging a hot bat as of late, but is still slashing a disappointing .244/.299/.395 on the season to go along with four homers, 22 RBI and three stolen bases in 51 ballgames. • Shea Langeliers belts first career grand slam
Shea Langeliers belted the first grand slam of his big-league career on Friday night, unfortunately it came in a losing effort against the Twins.

Advice: The 26-year-old backstop got the Athletics’ offense started with a bang on Friday night, tagging Simeon Woods Richardson for a 408-foot (102.8 mph EV) four-run blast on the first pitch that he saw in the first inning. That would be hit only hit on the night, finishing the evening 1-for-5. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago
    • Exits with concussion-like symptoms
Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: It's unclear when exactly Davis might have suffered the injury, but he was replaced behind the dish by Yasmani Grandal ahead of the seventh inning. Davis is in the process of being evaluated by the Pirates' medical staff, and an update on his status should come in the near future. Rotowire.com Today, 8:14 pm
