      José Caballero went 2-for-3 with a homer Sunday as the Rays edged the Orioles 4-3.

      Advice: Caballero has been a strikeout machine of late, but he managed to go without one for just the second time in 18 games today. He’s batting .260/.318/.370 on the season, but it just doesn’t seem likely that he’ll keep his average up like this with how often he fails to make contact.     • Ranger Suárez (thumb) feels much improved Sunday
      Ranger Suárez (thumb) reported feeling much improved on Sunday and there’s optimism from the team that he’ll be able to make his next scheduled start.

      Advice: The 28-year-old southpaw was lifted from Saturday’s start after he was hit on his pitching hand by a comebacker, but the swelling went way down overnight and he’s feeling much better already. Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson said they’ll wait a day or two before he attempts to throw, but it sounds like he’ll be able to take the hill as planned against the Mets in London next weekend.       Fry is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Fry will head to the bench after a stretch of six consecutive starts during which he slashed .333/.462/.667 with three extra-base hits, one stolen base, eight RBI and five runs. Five of his last six starts came in left field, but with Steven Kwan back from the injured list, Fry could end up seeing most of his opportunities at designated hitter moving forward. Kyle Manzardo represents Fry's primary competition for playing time at DH, but both will be on the bench Sunday while Jose Ramirez gets a day off from third base and but sticks in the starting nine in a non-defensive role.       Westburg went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

      Advice: Westburg was out of the lineup for two games with a hand injury, but it didn't seem to be bothering him in Saturday's win. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games, posting three multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder continues to hit well despite often being in the bottom half of the order.     • Report: Royce Lewis likely back off IL Tuesday
      Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports that Royce Lewis (quad) is likely to be activated off the injured list Tuesday.

      Advice: Lewis is going to play third base Sunday during his rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul. The 24-year-old will then have a chance to return to the Minnesota lineup as long as everything goes well in that outing. Lewis has significant fantasy upside, and if he’s still on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues, he’s well worth roster consideration.       Advice: After going 1-for-7 with a walk between the first two games of the series versus Tampa Bay, Cowser will hit the bench for the series finale while Austin Hays picks up a start in left field.       The Twins are expected to reinstate Lewis (quadricep) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the Yankees, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Lewis has been on the shelf since suffering a right quad strain in the Twins' March 28 season opener, but the standout infielder looks to be on the cusp of rejoining the big club. He began a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on May 25 and has thus far made five starts in the minors, going 3-for-19 with a double, a stolen base and two runs. According to Park, Lewis is scheduled to start at third base for St. Paul in Sunday's game against Rochester, and if all goes well, the 24-year-old should get the green light to return from the IL.       Seager went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over Miami.

      Advice: The calendar flipping from May to June did nothing to slow down Seager. After posting a 1.047 OPS during May, Seager extended a hitting streak to 14 games on the first day of the new month.       Miller (shoulder) is scheduled for a rehab start Friday with Triple-A Oklahoma City after he allowed four runs on five hits and one walk over 3.1 innings Saturday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Eric Stephen of SBNation.comreports.

      Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Miller experienced some reduced velocity Saturday, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. The right-hander threw 65 pitches for Rancho Cucamonga, but he induced just two swinging strikes and will need to continue building up his workload to about five innings while also honing his effectiveness as he moves up to the Triple-A level. An additional start in the minors after Friday's outing hasn't been ruled out, but Miller could return from the 15-day injured list and slot back into the rotation if all goes well during his upcoming start with Oklahoma City.
