    • Draws five walks Monday
Freeman went 1-for-1 with two runs and five walks in a 9-5 win against Colorado on Monday.

Advice: Freeman's patience was on display in the victory, as he tied a Dodgers franchise record by drawing five free passes. The veteran isn't shy about taking walks -- his 14.6 percent walk rate on the campaign ranks eighth among qualified MLB hitters and is on pace for the highest mark of his career. Of course, Freeman is plenty capable when swinging the bat as well, as he's currently batting .302, putting him on pace for his fifth straight season hitting at least .300. • Freddie Freeman walks five times in victory
Freddie Freeman singled and walked five times Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman became the first player to walk five times in a game since Matt Chapman on Aug. 12, 2021 and the first to both walk five times and collect a hit since, unbelievably, Rougned Odor on Aug. 2, 2018. Freeman had two runs scored and zero RBI to show for his success tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 pm
    • Angels activate Brandon Drury from injured list
Angels activated INF Brandon Drury from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Cole Tucker was dropped to make room. Drury missed 5 1/2 weeks with a strained left hamstring. He was hitting only .173/.230/.240 in 113 plate appearances before going down, and Angels manager Ron Washington said over the weekend that he’d be benched if he didn’t produce pretty quickly after coming off the IL. Expect him to get regular playing time for now between second base and DH. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:52 pm

    • Returns from injured list
The Angels activated Drury (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Drury wound up being sidelined for nearly six weeks of action with a left hamstring strain but is ready to roll after playing six rehab games. Most of Drury's starts with the Angels will probably come at second base, but first base, third base and designated hitter are options, as well. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:47 pm

    • Clubs 10th homer
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-0 victory versus the Royals.

Advice: Freeman reached double-digit homers on the campaign with his sixth-inning solo blast. The veteran first baseman has begun to pick up the pace in terms of power, going deep four times in 14 contests in June after coming into the month with just six long balls across 59 games. Freeman's pair of hits Sunday also lifted his average back up to .300 -- he's slashing .300/.401/.502 in 319 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:46 am
    • Muncy (oblique) progressing slower than expected
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Max Muncy (oblique) is progressing even slower than expected in his recovery.

Advice: Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat for at least the next week while he continues to fight a nagging oblique strain. There’s still no clear timetable for his potential return and it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be anytime soon. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:48 pm

    • Hitting bench Sunday
Suarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Though manager Torey Lovullo hinted earlier this week that Blaze Alexander would receive more playing time at third base going forward, Suarez still appears to be the Diamondbacks' preferred option at the hot corner for now. Though Alexander will man third base Sunday, Suarez had started in each of the previous three games and went 3-for-8 with a solo home run and three walks across those contests. • Not close to returning
Muncy (oblique) is at least a week away from swinging a bat and doesn't have a timeline for return, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Muncy's recovery from a right oblique strain has been unexpectedly slow, and he doesn't seem particularly close to returning. The 33-year-old hasn't swung a bat in a few weeks and won't be cleared for swings for at least another week. Cavan Biggio and Enrique Hernandez should handle most of the work at third base until Muncy returns. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:45 pm

    • Resumes playing field
Drury (hamstring) played second base in a rehab game with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: This was Drury's fourth rehab game, but he had served as the designated hitter in each of the previous three contests. The veteran infielder is working his way back from a left hamstring injury that has kept him from competing for the Angels since May 8. Drury has gone 5-for-13 with three walks and an RBI in his rehab stint thus far and appears very close to rejoining the big-league club. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:28 pm
