    • Belts game-winning homer
Estrada went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and four total RBI in Monday's 7-6 win against the Cubs.

Advice: Estrada was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give San Francisco its first lead, though Chicago quickly re-took the lead in the bottom of the frame. The Giants remained behind until the ninth, when Estrada blasted a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless stretch for the infielder. With nine home runs on the season, Estrada is five away from tying his career-high mark. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

    • Can't convert save opportunity
Neris (6-2) took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

Advice: Neris entered in the top of the ninth frame with Chicago leading by two runs. He got one out before Jorge Soler reached base on catcher's interference. Mike Yastrzemski followed with a walk before Thairo Estrada gave San Francisco the lead with a three-run homer. Though Neris retired the following two batters, the damage had been done, and the Cubs weren't able to mount a comeback in the bottom of the frame. The blown save was the fourth of the season for Neris and his third over his past seven chances. He's allowed nine earned runs across his past 8.2 frames, so his hold on the closer position may be tenuous. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
    • Neris blows save as Cubs lose 7-6 Monday
Hector Neris allowed three runs, blew the save and took the loss against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The Cubs’ lead evaporated quickly in the ninth inning. With one out, Jorge Soler reached on a catcher interference. After Neris issued a walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Thairo Estrada hit a three-run home run to give the Giants a 7-6 lead. Neris now has four blown saves on the year including two blown saves in his last three opportunities. Neris’ ERA is now 4.73 on the year. His grip on the closer role loosens with every blown save. • Earns one-out save
Jansen recorded one out to earn a save over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Jansen entered the ninth inning with two runners on base and two outs. He forced a Davis Schneider popout to close to 7-3 win and pick up the save. Jansen has converted eight straight save chances since his last blown opportunity April 16. His season ERA sits at 2.70 with a 30:11 K:BB. Rotowire.com Today, 7:33 pm
    • Fans six in no-decision
Fried allowed a run on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out six during the win over Detroit.

Advice: Fried worked five scoreless frames until the Tigers finally broke through with a run in the sixth inning. He wasn't very efficient Monday, throwing 60 of 103 pitches for strikes while failing to complete six innings for the second straight outing. Fried dropped his ERA to 3.11 with a 76:27 K:BB through 84 innings. He's currently in line for a tough road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 pm

    • Fried allows one run in no-decision
Max Fried allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Braves’ 2-1 victory over the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Fried gave up four hits, walked three and struck out six. He left the game with two on and one out in the sixth inning, but Jesse Chavez escaped the jam without further damage. It was a solid start for Fried, though the Braves couldn’t provide him with any run support while he was in the game. He continues to have a nice season as he lowered his ERA to 3.11 with the effort. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road this weekend.

    • Dodgers expect Betts (hand) to miss 6-8 weeks
The Dodgers’ current guess is that Mookie Betts will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured left hand.

Advice: Sounds about right. The Dodgers will mostly go with Miguel Rojas at shortstop for now; manager Dave Roberts said he’d start three of the four games in Colorado this week. Enrique Hernández figures to get the nod in the other. Rotoworld Today, 5:23 pm

    • Likely to miss 6-to-8 weeks
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the expectation is Betts (wrist) will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The timeline is a rough estimate, as Roberts noted that much will depend on how Betts' fractured left wrist heals in the coming weeks. If Roberts' suggested timetable holds true, that means Betts will be out at least until late July. Miguel Rojas is expected to be the Dodgers' regular shortstop while Betts is on the shelf. • Could be available off bench Monday
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Bichette (calf) could be available off the bench for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game while he works his way back from a right calf injury, but Schneider suggested that the shortstop is trending in the right direction and is scheduled to do "more hitting, baserunning, agility stuff" during a pregame workout. If Bichette responds well to those activities, the Blue Jays could call on him to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Monday's contest. Even if the Blue Jays opt to stay away from Bichette for another day, he would still seem likely to avoid a trip to the injured list and could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday.
