      Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024.       Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

      Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career.       Drury (hamstring) will hit in the batting cage Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

    • Homers again in Sunday's loss
      Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Torkelson got the Tigers on the board with a solo blast to center off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning and later scored once more after reaching on a fielder's choice. After not homering in his first 37 games of the season, Torkelson now has three home runs in his last seven games and seems to finally be heating up after a slow start to the year. The 24-year-old also has at least a hit in 12 of 13 games dating back to May 5 and is now slashing .227/.291/.360 with 17 RBI, 21 runs and a 13:43 BB:K in 189 plate appearances.     • Spencer Torkelson goes deep in loss to D’Backs
      Spencer Torkelson clubbed his third home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Tigers past the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

      Advice: The 24-year-old slugger got the Tigers on the board in the third inning, crushing a 428-foot (106.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Jordan Montgomery in the third inning. He also reached on a fielder’s choice in the seventh inning and scored on an RBI triple off the bat of Kerry Carpenter that was nearly an inside-the-park home run.       Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Reds.

      Advice: Freeman drew a leadoff walk to open the bottom of the fourth and would eventually come home to score the Dodgers' first run of the contest later in the frame on a single from outfielder Andy Pages. The star first baseman would add an RBI single in the fourth, along with a leadoff double in the eighth, before coming around to score for a second time. Freeman had gone hitless in his previous two games but now has five multi-hit games in May to go along with six RBI and 14 runs scored. He's also tied for fifth in the league in doubles with 13.       Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI single on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Reds.

      Advice: Freeman reached base safely in three of his four plate appearances as he continues to find his groove at the dish, batting .302 (16-for-53) with two homers over his last 15 contests.       Advice: Freeman drew a walk in the third inning, then knocked a base hit in the fifth. He reached for a third time with a single to lead off the eighth and came around to score on a single and a sacrifice fly.       Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: After going the first 37 games of the season without launching any home runs, Torkelson has now blasted off in consecutive contests. Both home runs were two-run shots, and the 24-year-old could certainly keep it going, as he's shown the ability to hit long balls in bunches.
