    • Back with big club
The Blue Jays recalled Serven from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

Advice: Serven will be the Blue Jays' No. 2 catcher behind Alejandro Kirk while Danny Jansen (personal) is on paternity leave. He was hitless in eight at-bats during a brief stint with the big club to begin the season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:03 am

    • Goes on paternity leave
The Blue Jays placed Jansen on the paternity list Monday.

Advice: Jansen will miss the next 1-to-3 games while welcoming a new baby. Alejandro Kirk should serve as the Blue Jays' primary catcher during that time, and Brian Serven has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to handle backup duties. Rotowire.com Today, 7:00 am

    • Homers, totals three hits
Singleton went 3-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: Singleton took Mets starter Luis Severino deep in the second inning for his sixth homer of the season and first in over a month. The first baseman later added two more hits, giving him his first three-hit game of the season. Through 59 games, Singleton has accumulated 205 plate appearances, totaling six home runs, three doubles, 18 RBI, 23 runs and a 26:53 BB:K. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm

    • Henry Davis (concussion) sees rehab stint paused
Henry Davis is having his rehab stint put on hold as he attempts to return from a concussion.

Advice: Davis was 0-for-6 with five strikeouts since joining Double-A Altoona on Wednesday. Expectations are that he’ll be optioned to Triple-A once healthy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:21 pm

    • Brewers activating Mitchell, demoting Black
The Brewers will activate Garrett Mitchell and send down Tyler Black prior to Monday’s game in Colorado.

Advice: It seemed like Black would get more of a look this time around, but after four games in which he collected three hits and three walks, the Brewers glued him to the bench for the entire last week. Now they’ll be creating a logjam in the outfield by activating Mitchell while keeping Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins around. Jackson Chourio has turned into a fixture in right, so the Brewers will be choosing between Mitchell, Frelick, Perkins and Jake Bauers for two lineup spots each day. That’s not a great fantasy value situation for Mitchell, though his upside is very much present. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:35 pm
    • Jo Adell smacks two-run homer Sunday in loss
Jo Adell hammered a two-run homer on Sunday in the Angels’ loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Adell made things interesting in the ninth inning with a two-out homer off Tigers reliever Shelby Miller to bring the Halos within one run at the time, but their surreal comeback effort came up just short, and their six-game winning streak was also snapped in the process. The 25-year-old has cratered back to Earth in June after such a promising start to the year. He’s batting .139 (11-for-79) with two homers, one steal and 26 strikeouts since June 1. It’s not what you want. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm
    • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hand) hopes to play Monday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. said his right hand was sore Sunday after he was hit by a Gerrit Cole pitch, but he added that he should be able to play Monday.

Advice: Guerrero remained in today after getting plunked. X-rays taken after the game came back negative. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:23 pm
    • Set to be activated Monday
Mitchell (finger) will join the Brewers in Denver on Monday and will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series opener against the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 25-year-old has missed the first three months of the season due to a fractured finger, but he's ready to join the Brewers after a 14-game rehab assignment in the minor leagues. Milwaukee will now have a major logjam in the outfield, with Mitchell joining a group of Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins, Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio. Frelick saw time at third base during spring training, but Joey Ortiz (neck) has played his way into the starting job during the first half. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm
    • X-rays negative on hand
Guerrero had X-rays on his right hand come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Yankees, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: The 25-year-old remained in the contest after being hit by the pitch during the third inning, but he was eventually pulled for a pinch hitter. He finished the day 1-for-2 with a base hit. Guerrero appears to have avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against Houston.
