    • Carlos Correa getting Sunday off against Astros
Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup against the Astros on Sunday.

Advice: Correa does not get many days off, but he’ll get a chance to breathe against his former team Sunday. Willi Castro is starting at shortstop and hitting sixth with Correa out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:48 am
    • Getting rare day off
Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Houston.

Advice: He'll sit out the series finale against his former club in what looks to be little more than a maintenance day. Willi Castro will fill in at shortstop for Correa, who had started in each of the Twins' last 21 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:02 am
    • Ezequiel Tovar tallies three more hits in loss
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a double on Saturday in the Rockies’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar notched his second consecutive three-hit performance to raise his batting average to .302 (71-for-235) with eight homers and four steals through 56 contests. The 22-year-old shortstop has been an unexpected batting average booster this season and wound up leading the National League with 16 extra-base hits during the month of May. That’ll do. • Starring role in win
Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season. He still hits far better at home (.862 OPS), but he's been passable on the road this season as well with a .757 OPS away from Coors Field. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:23 pm

    • Ezequiel Tovar picks up three hits, homers in win
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May. Tovar still needs to show a little more consistency to reach an elite level, but the talent is there for him to reach that lofty status in the coming years. Rotoworld Friday, 9:47 pm

    • Correa has three RBI in win Thursday
Carlos Correa went 1-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and three RBI against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Correa cleared the bases with a triple in the sixth inning that put the Twins ahead for good. Despite missing some time with an injury, he’s quietly having a nice season. Correa is hitting .259 with a .187 ISO, 22 runs and 18 RBI in 39 games this year. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:09 pm
    • Carlos Correa with two hits in loss
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored on Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: Don’t look now, but Correa is quietly putting together a strong season. He’s hitting .279 with an .833 OPS, good for about 40% better than league average, with the batted ball quality to match. He’s also running the highest BB% of his career and once again looks like a solid run producer in the middle of the Twins’ lineup. Rotoworld May 26, 2:30 pm
    • Ezequiel Tovar goes 4-for-6, wins game in 11th
Ezequiel Tovar went 4-for-6 and delivered a game-winning hit in the bottom of the 11th as the Rockies upset the Phillies 3-2 on Friday.

Advice: Jacob Stallings previously tied this one up by homering in the bottom of the ninth. Neither team scored in the 10th, and the Phillies also came up empty in the 11th before the Rockies won it. Tovar had a double and a second RBI in the game. His first career four-hit game pushed his average up to .285 for the season. Rotoworld May 24, 11:49 pm

    • Carlos Correa goes 2-for-4 against Rangers in win
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a double against the Rangers in Friday’s win.

Advice: Correa’s single checked in at 113.9 mph, making it his hardest-hit ball of the season by three mph. The double was pretty good, too; it was hit 390 feet and would have been a homer in 16 parks, according to Statcast. Correa is at .276/.366/.466 in 134 plate appearances this season. It’s not thrilling, but it is very good in a year in which offense is down. Rotoworld May 24, 10:05 pm
