    • Better vs. Orioles
Civale didn't factor into the decision Friday against Baltimore, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Civale was sharp Friday, blanking the Orioles for five innings before he was ultimately charged with a lone run in the sixth. The 28-year-old Civale has been pitching better of late, allowing just three runs over 10.1 innings in his last two starts after struggling to an 8.48 ERA in his previous six outings. Overall, he's 2-4 on the year with a 5.37 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 62 innings. Civale's currently lined up for a rematch with Baltimore at home in his next start. • Aaron Civale allows one run in no-decision
Aaron Civale pitched 5 1/3 innings on Friday against the Orioles and allowed one earned run. He struck out three and walked one.

Advice: Civale has simplified his approach of late. This was his seventh consecutive start throwing his cutter at least 30% of the time and the third time in four starts where he’s thrown it 40% of the time. The final results were solid here against one of the best offenses in baseball, but Civale induced just six swings and misses while the Orioles hit 10 balls hard. He remains a risky streamer until he can figure out his secondary pitches. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:25 pm
    • Two more steals in win
Thomas went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Thursday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Thomas reached base and stole second in each of his first two trips to the plate while also coming around to score a run in the latter at-bat. The outfielder has been on a tear since returning from the injured list and is now batting .353 (6-for-17) through four games in May with three RBI, four stolen bases and four runs scored, swiping a pair of bags in back-to-back contests. • Ends hitless skid
Marte went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Marte produced Arizona's only offense with a two-run double in the third inning. The hit snapped an 0-for-22 run for Marte, who despite the slump, still leads the team's qualified batters with a .265 average. He's also tops among teammates in doubles (13) and is tied for second in RBI (29). Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 am

    • Lane Thomas swipes two bags in win over ATL
Lane Thomas stole two bases and scored a run in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday.

Advice: Thomas continues to be one of the better stolen-base threats in the sport, and it’s worth pointing out that his 15 swipes have come in just 26 games. The speed has been there for the 28-year-old. Now, about that .212/.278/.327 slash line. Those numbers should continue to get better, but in the meantime, he’s definitely helping fantasy managers in one category. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:00 pm

    • Ketel Marte drives home pair with double in loss
Ketel Marte hit a two-run double in a loss Thursday to the Mets.

Advice: Marte gave the D-backs a 2-0 lead with a two-run double in the third inning off Christian Scott. The infielder remains a solid — if at times inconsistent — option with 13 doubles, 29 RBI and .788 OPS over the first 56 games of the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:57 pm

    • Two hits, homer vs. Brewers
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Thursday's 6-4 loss to Milwaukee.

Advice: Bellinger opened the scoring with a two-out solo shot off Colin Rea, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead in the first inning with his eighth homer of the year and his first in 18 games. While he hadn't been hitting for much power, Bellinger's been seeing the ball well recently -- he has hits in six straight games, going 11-for-27 (.407) in that span, including five consecutive two-hit efforts. The 28-year-old outfielder is now slashing .267/.332/.471 with 26 RBI and 19 runs scored through 190 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:34 pm

    • Sitting after three straight starts
Chourio is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Chourio had started each of the previous three games, but two of those starts came while the Cubs sent left-handers Justin Steele and Shota Imanaga to the mound. The rookie outfielder will hit the bench Thursday against right-hander Jameson Taillon and still looks to be stuck in a short-side platoon role in the corner outfield with Sal Frelick. • Jackson Chourio is on the bench on Thursday
Jackson Chourio is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Cubs.

Advice: It’s most likely just a typical rest day for Chourio. The rookie’s overall slash line is not impressive, but there are some signs of life. His seven steals and five home runs have been a help to fantasy managers and he cut his strikeout rate from 32 percent in April to just 19 percent in May. The hits are not coming and the groundball rate continues to rise, but it’s good to see the 20-year-old making more consistent contact. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:38 am
